Ok so as the title says, this is my first female, real simple closet grow.

4 cfl 100w bulbs for 1 plant, a fan, and i know its not recommended but i used miracle grow soil.

Hairs all turned amber and the calyxes are swollen, i just cant tell with the jewelers loupe i have if the trichomes are clear or cloudy. My eyes are terrible. I will take pictures right now and try to get closeups of the trichomes maybe someone can help me out

Will upload asap, thanks in advance.

Edit: Pics uploaded, hope they help. again thanks for any information!

The pictures were the best i could do, my phone camera is not the best so i put the camera in the jewlers loupe and took the pictures that way.

Well it looks like it could be ready, but you really need to get a better loupe or magnifier to check the trichs. Not many plants will be done with 6 weeks of flower. Do you not keep a calendar/journal? Gotta take notes and stay organized man..

thanks will definitely keep a journal next grow. A few things happened during this grow (my first) that were beyond my control, and my next planned grow (thinking about la blanca seed) will be more organized for sure with better equipment.

Im going to give this grow another week maybe two

You're ultimately looking for the round heads of the trichomes themselves to turn amber, not the 'hairs.'

Its generally accepted more amber trichomes, more body high, less amber, more head high. Either way, look for at least 20% amber trichomes, swollen calyxes and recession of hairs.

You got a pic of the whole plant? What magnification is your loupe. If you have a 60x I would think you could see them.
I will take a picture of the whole plant tomorrow as soon as i awake. i will tell you it is not the prettiest looking plants, i have had males that looked much better, but hey this one turned out female. I rushed this one because i was sick of all the time i took in the males vegging only to find out that they werent females. So i put this plant on 12/12 almost right away.

Right, i was aware of that, i dont think i can see any amber yet with the naked eye or with the loupe. The loupe i bought was from china and it was like 3 bucks. Not very good at all, even if it claims to be 50x magnification i cant tell.

I'd get a better loupe if you have the cash. Based on pics, I'd guess 2-3 weeks longer.
