My first grow, this is.

guy's and gal's. This is my first grow and im only a few days in. Already had a mishap with the damn catbut all is back on track and i think
the seedlings will be fine... HOkay, SO.

Strain: Bag seed.

Germination period: 4 days(they were forming leaves lol)

Medium: Fox Farms Ocean Forest 80% Mixed with Sunshine LC1 20% (sunshine is no nutes)

Pots: Cut plastic cups

Lighting: CFL, three 23w 2700k two 23w 5000k, 115w in all. (Cant find any 6500k CFLs under $28 a piece. @ walmart homedepo ect..)

Light cycle: 24 Hours

Room: LARGE Closet

My cat knocked them over last night and i lost two plants, but 3 are still up and running. They are a little bent from looking for the light but with the amount of Rays on them should straiten them right up. I have a few pictures to show, and im hoping if anyone sees anything wrong
they will speak up because i could use all the help i can get. There are also a few more items on the need to have list that i need to get. I need a thermometer,
a PH Probe?, another fan, and thats all i can think of at the moment.

No, ur ok. Your setup looks fine for so early on in your first grow. Have to wait a few more days to week b4 you'll be able to read PH issues. Patience is tough early on, but success is worth the wait.

hey i can see your using what you have, you will be fine for veg, You should have a little plant here in a day or so, try to prevent stretching by keeping lights close but not to close, use the old hand trick place it 6-8 inchs from plant and if you hand gets hot its to hot for your baby....Good luck, and alot of people just dont respond on here, Sorry Its not you, I have been trying to get some answers also ;/ ONE LOVE!

True, if folks see you just joined and are new to growing too they take a wait and see attitude. More than a few are all gung-ho at first then drop off and disappear.

What are the lights your using, how many watts and 6500k cfls or what? I have to say that from previous experience with bagseeds you might want to just go to seaofseeds.com and buy fem seeds cause I grew my first plant and after a month I went to flowering and turns out it was male. It's a pretty big waste of time and money keeping the lights on and feeding them if they're not good plants. and you only have to spend like 5 dollars with stealth shipping to get a decent strain with some nice freebies (usually 2 autos and 3 fem cross seeds) I also got 2 7/8 Sour diesel seeds which are supposed to be good!

Wow, You wouldnt believe the transformation after only 9ish hours. Well maybe you can but not me. They are still very small but they have tripled in size in a short period of time!
Two of them are looking amazing (third is looking a little shit, but i feel the next 24 hours will tell me if it will survive.
I will upload some pics as soon as the phone charges up a little. BTW, Where can i get some 6500k under 15 bucks a piece? (not online)
Also at what point should i start worrying about PH? My local hydro store sells 48w 6500k for $28 Smackaroos.

Understandable, but i have been Creeping around the forum for a while, keeping my mouth shut. I will be here for the long run now that i have started. To much i dont know and
to many people that can help, for me to just skip out.

What kinda soil you using? Whats the ph now?

If you read the OP it will give you all the information you just asked.

If your are using fox farms soil, i wouldnt use much nutes for about 4 weeks. Ive used fox farms last year and roots organic, now i use coco and perlite.

How long do you plan to veg those plants? If its about 4 weeks, no nutes until you enter the flower stage.

I dont have a CLUE when im going to switch to 12/12.. Im learning as i go. Ill try to research to find out when the best time to start flower and only after i have all equipment i need.
i want to top them when they are ready and get a good spread going before i flip to flower cycle. I need to figure out how to use this mechanical light timer too haha. Cheers!

With CFL's it's best to be at around 3-4 inches above the canopy.
8 inches is too far away.

Should start feeding at about 2 weeks or when the cotyledons wither away. 4 weeks is a very long time without nutrients unless running organics.
The plant will die from starvation if not given nutrients for that long.

Are you saying that i need to lower them? Im very close as it is, id say 4-5 inches away, if that.

You can switch to 12/12 anytime but i wait til my plants are about a foot tall. The more you veg the more bud you will end up with. I would get a h.i.d light for flower, you wont regret it....

There are nute in fox farms soil. Thats why i said no nutes for about 4 weeks.
