My first time growing. Please help out!

The setup:
HPS 150 watt, fan, exhaust ventilator
Distance 50 cm
2 feminized seeds bought in a seed bank
10 days.
I started these poor girls on nutes since day 1. nutes: 20-10-20:( the leaves started turning yellow. I flushed them after a good advice from the members and as the yellow leaves started to wither and shrink, one of them looks great while the other has yellow spots on the old leaves and the edges of the new ones are starting to go yellowish. I semiflushed that one again today but worried I might be missing something. Any good info coming from a specialist grower will be much appreciated

You'd be better off vegging that thing under inexpensive fluros.
It's a bit early for nutes. Try and relax. Growing takes a shitload of patience.
 
If I were you I would wait till they were two weeks old then give them quarter strenght nutes so if says to mix 2 tbls to one gallon of water mix 1/2 a tbls to a gallon of water.
 
No dude just chill out dont do anything to stress the plant more than it already is, flushing,transplanting and such would just stress it out for now just let them sit in thear and do thear thing stick you finger bout a 1/2 inch in the soil if its dry water if its not dont
 
:cry: THanks Shadow! I've read so much that my head's blowing up! so diluted nutes starting the 2nd week once every 5 days or so? Should I worry about the ph?
 
oh i forgot about the other part just follow the directions on the back of the container put half the amount of what it calls for to the same amount of water and it should tell you how often to feed it but give it rain water when your not going to give it nutes so put some containers outside if possible mix your nutes with rain water
 
Hey man here is your problems

1 HPS is mainly for flowering, yes you can use it to veg, but yes it is a big ol waste, get some 6500K CFL's
floro tubes aren't great at all.

2 Nutes shouldn't be given until they are 3-4 weeks into veg or the plant shows signs of needing them.

I'd flush em aagain, put a tablespoon of molasses into a gal of water and use it on them last, the molasses will replace the micro critters you flush away, and it aalso gives the plants carbs to burn and has a very small amount of nutes (no way it will burn them).

I use molasses in every stage of growth and it works VERY well.
Cheap as shit, baking isle in any grocery store.
Look at my album for ideas if you need some.

Thanks a lot man. I already spent on the hps so i'm gonna stick with it although I still don't know the right distance to set them up next to it. Some say put it as high as possible, others say as close as possible. The problem is one of them is feeling good while the other is still getting yellow spots on the edges, they're different types and I just can't cope with both their needs:( I guess I'll flush it tomorrow and then go for the molasses, hope it works. After the third or 4th week when i start using nutes should they be in the water that i use everytime I water them?
