Hey Everyone,

The timer was suppose to turn my light off at 9pm and back on again at 9am. These plants have been flowering for 7 days, I was manually turning the light off and on until I was able to get this timer. What are the consequences of skipping the night period for one night??

Thanks.

dont worry....

i did the same thing, bout 3 weeks in flower, one plant popped a few horns, pulled em off and all was well again.

Yes, he means pollen sacks. An occational lighting issue should not damage a healthy plant. They can go hermie on you and should be inspected regularly anyway but I would not sweat it.

i had the same sort of issue happen last night. i rotated my plants yesterday and inspected them. and some how brushed up against the timer. i usually check my timers at the end of the day, but yesterday i was in a damn hurry as i was putting clones up (24 blueberry kush,24 U2 kush, 24 martian kush and 24 G-13) and wanted to hurry up and get them done. one of the lights ended up staying on an extra 5 hours. they are already into flowering 6 weeks s i dont think there will be much of an issue except maybe setting my harvest back a few days.

opinions?

a one time mistake will not hurt your plants at all.. just make sure ur timers r back to normal and that they return to their reg cycle.. all will be fine..

Yeah, I left a light on for a dark period twice in flowering, It didnt do to much. Feminized seeds just keep a close eye on for herms, Even so. You should be good man.

Quick question if i may jump in on this thread.

My plants were vegging under T5's 24/7, i switched to 600w hps for flowering. The first night i forgot to set up the timer and it ran 20 hours straight then off for 12 hours. Then day 2 i thought i set the timer right and it ran about 14 hours straight, then 12 hours off. The 3rd day i set up 2 lights on the floor to shine up, when the timer turn the lights off, i forgot to set the floor lights to the timer and only the top light turned off (600w hps) and the two bottom lights stayed on for about 30 minutes longer before i noticed and turned them off. Today (4th day flowering) the lights were on for 6 hours and then i guess the breaker overloaded and shut down everything for like 15-20 min. Now everything is back on.

Basically what % chance do i have of them turning hermie? Everything has been so messed up and im pretty mad at myself. Im convinced i messed up too much and they're gonna turn hermie. What do you guys think ?

right at the begin a lil effed up light cycle wont matter.. its once they get on their 12/12 that a fucked up light cycle could herm out your plants..

I see i see. Yeah, it's barely day 4 of flowering. First day it was on 8 hours too long. 2nd day is was on for 2 hours too long. 3rd day only have the lights turned off and the others stayed on for like 30 min. 4th day, the power went out and the lights were off for about 15-20 min.

your fine, they havent started to flower yet so its not a big deal. the plants might be a little confused but until they have started flowering and/or used to the light cycle being 12/12 they will not hermie.
you probally have a small chance of it effecting them......but i highly doubt it will.

I LIKE HERMS!

what i do when ive gotten herms in the past is soon as the flowers appear, i watch it very closely, and when they are a couple three days from popping open, i snip off the (male) flower branches and put them in a glass of water with a little rootngrow and remove them from the area, and put them inside somewere on top of either aluminum foil, printer paper or something sililar. when they pop open and start dropping pollen, i pull out the olde Q tips and scoop some up and take them out and pollinate a couple of branches and get some feminized seeds!

seeds are getting do god damn expensive its just stupid. ive seen decent strain feminized seeds go for freakin 10-15 bucks a piece. thats just silly.

Today is day 10 of flowering and my lights accidentally stayed on for 16 1/2 hours. What do ya'll think? Think it'll screw them up at all? Thanks.

Nothing, your

It happened to me : 5 days into flower , I got it back in after not going on around 16 hour of no light at all
Seeds and it had male and female parts in the same pod about the 7 node down from the tops
It was topped .

16 hours of dark did not case your herm issue. I would examine the source of my genetics in this case.
