Just finished it yesterday and it seems to work great. Didn't take much to make. Pics in order of build. 4-26w 6500k & 2-13w 2700k

I like it, but those lights are way far away from your plants, should be like 3" away minimum. I kept mine 1" away for the first 2 1/2 weeks with proper air movement and ventilation. And I watch my temps constantly.

or u can go buy extented for the light socket they will bring then down 1inch per extender it looks like this....

u guys dont think the cardboard can get hot enough to catch on fire.... i also doing a rigged vege room out of my PS3 box...

Am testing this with my 1 week old tomato plant... i have 3x26w and a 28 CFM fan...temp 70F...

I'm getting some 26w 2700k to replace the 13w. The thing was at the end of building it instead of having all 6 of the bulbs being 26w 6500k, I want to have 2 bulbs with some red spectrum light also and the 13w 2700k's were all I could find around the house until I could get to the store to get some 26w 2700k's. lol

Yea I was just scared to get them that close, but now I got them on a few books so now there 1 inch away. I just wanted to see how hot it was gonna get in there before roasting my plants, haha.

-- Its not going to catch fire... The reflective padding protects the box and reflects heat. Its the same stuff your car window shade visor's are made out of. I cut the stuff out of a nylon cooler that was laying around the house. The only I bought was the CFL's and the light socket adapters, and the Y splitters.
