My Plans Need Feedback

i'm thinking about growing 6 females in my homemade aero. (20 gal. bucket) system through veg. when time for flowering i want 2 put each plant in its own aero-bucket (5 gal.). how much space will i need for the flowering stage and how many watts of fluro for the babies. and how many watts for the six in flowering.

The rule of thumb is at least one plant per square foot. The flowering wattage will depend upon how much space you want the light to cover. A 600 will cover a 3x3 nicely. And by "babies" ... do you mean seedlings/cuttings, or do you mean vegging plants???

I mean vegging. i plan on growing the seedlings 2 about 6-8" before transplanting them to the aero. i dont know if thats a good or not but it sounds like it may work. i also want my plants to be around 4' at end of flowering i plan on having 6 plants in veg at all times. any ideas are more than welcome.

If you grow them through veg in one container you will NOT be able to split them up without messing up the roots.

i should've said one container per plant, would it be better to veg them in the 5 gal. pots and flower them in the 5 gal. plants i want them to be about 3-4 feet tall.

how often shoul i set the pump to spray the roots

I would set them to go in individual pots to start with, you dont want to have to transplant anything if you dont have to. I would put them into the aero as soon as you can see roots hanging from the net pots and i would spray regularly possibly every hour.

aight, i understand the part of startin in indiv. pots and putting them in aero when i see roots. but before i see roots how will i be raising thim( soil etc..)?

exactly what kind of aero system did you make?

If it is DWC (air bubbler) you can just increase the water in the resevoir until it hits the bottom of the net pots. You can grow straight from seed this way. Once roots pop out of the net pot, lower the water level an inch...

if its a drip system - your set from the get go...

If its a misting style aero - then your going to need another place to start seeds. or germinate in paper towels and drop em into the aero after a few days. If the net pots are getting sprayed, its probably OK.

You will water the rockwool or whatever you are using to start the seed until the roots grow through.
