My plant was traumatized! Help

Not sure if anybody will see this in time but my husband dropped a metal gate on top of my plants and broke off almost all the branches on one side is my plant going to be okay? I'm crying over it right now...

It is a weed it will recover
Tape any joints where the membrane is still stuck to the main stalk
Some branches can be saved if still attached

The plant really wont care as long as the roots are ok and a few branches are in tact. You will find the branches that did survive will grow quickly. Pictures?
