My Seedling Leaves Just Keep on Dieing!!!

I first germinated my seed. Then I placed it into my medium. After the seedling breaks soil it always comes out crooked with the top of the stem at a 90 degree angle and the leaves are crunched up and not out. People tell me to place it under the light and it will straighten out. I then placed the crooked seedling under the light. Within 24 hours the seedling starts to droop and the leaves then die out. WTF is going on? My temps stay at 77 degrees. I have one medium fan blowing at the lights and another pc fan blowing in between the lights and plant. The seedling still dies. Wtf is going on can anyone help me? this problem has been plaguing me for the past two months and i have been wasting countless exspensive seeds.:spew::spew::spew::spew:
 
my goodness i am having the same problem and it just started. I think we are cursed as i have always had good luck in the past. I just lost 10 white widow seedlings growing them same as i always have. Just thought it would make you feel better to hear you arn't the only one.

how's it goin man, maybe you could give us a lil' more info like; soil, pH of water/soil, what type of water (tap, rainwater, reverse osmosis, mineral, distilled), what type of lights, how far away are the lights.

I'm sure with this info the guys here should be able to diagnose the problem quite quickly. A few pictures of your whole setup and pictures of the plants would do great too.

i am using a grow box. I have a medium size fan along with a pc fan at the upper level of the box blowing at the lights. The lights i am using are cfls. So far i started with two daylight bulbs that are 100watts with 1300 lumens a piece. My box also has proper ventilation with two pc fans one 120 mm and the other 90mm blowing inside of the box at the lower layer to bring in cooler air. I also have another 120mm and 90mm fan blowing out at the top layer where the lights are.
 
Also, all the seedlings i started keep on coming out crooked at a 90degree angle with the leaves smooshed together instead of fully out. People tell me to place them under the light. I think the problem is that the leaves on the seedling arent out so they cannot produce photosynthesis. But i placed them under the light any way two inches from the cfls. within 24 hours the stem withered and fell over and the leaves just died. Also, i am using a soiless mix.
 
it is a soiless mix which means it has no fertilizer. I will add fertz in later if my seedling gets past the fucking next stage but it hasnt. Also i am using deer park bottle water to water my plants.
 
it could be the way you transplanted from germ to medium. make sure the tap root is facing down, and not sideways. not sure, but that could be it. im interested to see the other responces. good luck
 
mate, i believe plain soil just won't work. try to mix up your soil to ensure your plant roots have no problems growing in them. I use a mix of 60% potting soil, 10% building sand, 10% pearlite, 10% vermeculite, 5% building sand and 5% compost mixed with peat moss.

My take is that it's a soil problem, any more experienced growers have any inputs?
 
i am not a soil grower and don't use CFLs so my help will be limited but it sounds like it could be a number of things:
1) something wrong with soil (doesn't drain well/holds water)
2) watering (probably over-watering - see soil above)
3) the light isn't close enough/correct kind (again don't use CFLs so i don't know)

i guess that's nothing that hasn't already been said or hinted at anyway.
