hello this is my first indoor grow, so far so good its in a small space, it started with sunlight but then it got cold so had to put it inside, i made a spot on my closet and put a 100 w light, just enough i think for the plant, but my question is, i found a spining motor from those disco lights

that is the link for the video of my plant spining, how much is it for a beneffit that my plant rotates ? pros or cons of my plant rotating thank you for your advice

Please tell me thats not a mercury vapor lamp. They put out lots of heat(reptile heating bulbs are made with them), and they're not designed to grow plants. Go buy some cfl's.

As for the spinning, Ive only seen one setup that spun the plants, but it was at a much much slower pace..so I dont know.

i just took the first big light bulb that came across at my house when the cold tiimes came, my plant has been growing from the sunlight, but some days get cold here, so when that happens i put it inside, but now that the weather has improved i will put it outside, and put cfls when the cold comes back. thanks for the advice..

abouo the spinning thing, no beneffits at all right? am about to take it oustside for its daily dose of sun, but what about the rotation outside would it still work???

i think when you finailly get to smoke that plant you will get a dizzy kinda high. and you might wanna try a 65k cfl

its a temporary setup , plus just changed that bulb to a cfl, but temporari since my plant is outdoors most of the time when is not cold

Thats a halogen, this guy is going to set his closet on fire.
It may not grow as well with this bulb(the rotation is probably saving the plant from burning) but there is no way a 100 watt halogen is more of a fire risk then any 150+ watt HID.

As long as you continue to use that bulb, keep spinning your plant. If possible you might try to get it to spin slower. a dimmer switch comes to mind. I would also stop moving it inside to outside, and vise versa. This is also stressing the plant(changes in lighting, temperature, and humidity). This could cause her to go hermie on you.

Of course, I'd have to recommend changing the bulb, CFLs being a good choice for you.
