OK i just received my 1000w ballast
The ValuLine Ballasts are the best value priced garden lighting ballasts available. The cases are powder coated galvanized steel, vented to provide cool operation. They have a vibration dampening system for noise reduction. They are very quiet. All ValuLine lighting can be run at 120 or 240 volts. No rewiring is necessary. 240 volt power cords are available below. They will all run either M.H. or H.P.S. bulbs (with the exception of 600w which will run H.P.S. bulbs only.)

also got a Cool Tube Reflector

the problem is the wiring wont fit take a look at the 2 first pics
at the third and fourth pics you can see the reflector
Last pics is my extra wire the question is

Can i open my Ballast and make the connect between Ballst and my extra wire ?

you could wire it yourself but better not to. i had the same issue and the hydro store had an adapter that joined the two wires

i am a bit confused tho the cord thats built into real cool tubes plugs right into that one on you ballast. the one you show with the 3 round posts in the black rubber plug pic number 2 is that attached to the cool tube or to a loose screw shell ?
