whats up fellas i need some of you to impart wisdom on my first hydroponics setup.
ok here goes...
first off I have limited space, therefore i will be starting off fairly small. I'm going to be using a 25gal storage box
I want to purchase an HPS bulb to attach to the inside of the cover. I'm only going to have two plants in the box. I need help deciding what size bulb would be ideal for such a cramped space. Another thing is, i'm not sure if i can use any fixture with the bulb. Here's a link to several different versions.
HPS Lamps
will the storage box be prone to fire hazard due to excessive heat buildup.
I intend to hack one of those computer muffin fans and use it as an exhaust fan. meanwhile i know i must keep the air circulating in there. Similar to this setup, except for the heatsink.

Also once i get everything situated I will be using Rockwool for medium. I have a bag of hydroton to use in combination with the RW. I need to pickup a pot at the hydro shop. I was thinking of getting a net pot. Read somewhere on here that its a good buy, but the part that im stuck at is, well, since i'm going to be hand watering do i need to keep a reservoir? Perhaps a tray under the net pot. Not too sure how to use hydroton, but i read a couple threads on here. So this is what i have so far: Germinate (paper towel method), Place in RW (5.5ph) and wait for 2 spike leave to appear, begin lighting, when roots come out the bottom of RW put in net pot lined with hydroton. Ok be gently!
