mylar???????

i need some help here.
i was wondering what is mylar and does it work better
than tin foil?.and where can i get it. also is it expensivee??????????

its like heaven compared to tin foil.. tin foil burns your plants and is like 15% reflective. it also raises your grow room temp by like 10 degrees. mylar is 95% refelctive and raises the temp by like 3 degrees. you can buy it online or on ebay or at a home depot for about as much as tin foil

hit up walmart. Go to the camping section and purchase a couple emergency blankets. There like 3 bucks and come folded into really small packages for easy working... good luck

my grow box is like a mess of tin and tape
i realy need to fix it up. i think ill just get the
emergency blanket it sounds good enoughf

Yep. Do as above people said.

Mylar is great. I got a 50ft roll off ebay for $13 or so. Maybe 15 with shipping.

Foil can cause many burn spots on your plants and its nearly as reflective as mylar.

Mylar is the same shit they make those ballons out of, if you can't find it, go to a dollar store and by some ballons.

The best way to apply mylar is not with tape, but with a spray adhesive on cardboard...BUT ALWAYS use the adhesive on non permanent surfaces that can be changed out.

Mylar is kinda noisy and i just prefer white paint.

Punk always has great advise!

Mylar IMHO sucks. It's hard to work with, it can mess up on you in a heart beat trying to install it. Bump it by accident and your taping tears, loose mylar flaps in your fans...uggghhhh.

Paint it flat white, reflects jes as well and guess what, every coupla grows take out a roller and bingo you have fresh walls in 5 minutes.

If you use mylar remeber to wash it when you install it on the wall... with wet blanket or something like that... if you dont it will trap some humidity in your grow room. But if you wash it then its good :)

I agree 100% I almost LoL'ed when i seen teh posts. I either use flat white or panda film(the white/black) thick plastic film, very very good stuff.

its doesnt mater the light is all the is important
if you take 2 grow rooms that are equal
but the only diff. is
one has mylar (or whatever reflective mat. )
and the otherone with nothing lineing the walls
your yeild will be the same from both rooms
- its all in your mind
use white paint

its come to my attention that theres alot of different flat white paints out there, i saw one the other day that is mold and mildew resistant, is that a good one to get for my grow box ?

i want to get a roll of mylar but i dont know where to get it
i need somthing that is not seethrough cause i cant have any
light coming out the cracks of my box as it is right now
