Mysterious heavy twisted new growth..

Hello RIU community

I have 2 plants going indoor, white widow (41 days) and cbd fix (42 days) both auto. I’m using the biobizz light mix with greenhouse feeding organic nutrient. I mixed 3g/L bio grow with the soil before planting the seeds and added 3g/L bio bloom as top dress 9 days ago as they began to flower.

The white widow makes me worry tho.. the newest growth keeps on twisting/ corkscrewing and showing yellowish tips. I can’t find the cause despite searching for hours on the web.
I measured the ph with a cheap soil meter and even though this meter is probably not accurate, it shows that the soil is definitely on the acid side (5.5-6.0).

Does anyone have experienced this symptom ? It already happened in another grow and I also couldn’t really find the cause. The plant ended up dying, related to the twisting or not i still don’t know.

Can it be coming from low ph causing deficiencies ? Or is it early sign of nutrient burn ?

Thanks for your answer. Do you think dolomite could solve low ph the issue ? Not sure about the quantity tho.. don’t won’t to burn them with excess ca-mg

Can't remember who it was, but someone just within the last week recommended Epsom salt for ca-mg. Don't know, haven't tried it. But, I'm going to next time.
 
lower your our PH a smidgen do the pots fell heavy or light?
looks like the new growth is looking for calcium and sucking phosphorus from the old mature leaves

Looking good tho.
 
@GreezzyGuy don’t you mean raising the pH ? The ph meter is saying the soil is too acid.

I have a soil moisture sensor logging the data so I can see how moist the soil is at 10cm depth. I always wait until the pot feels slightly lighter before watering. These are fabric pots, i thought overwatering was excluded with them

I wouldn’t listen to a thing that dude says personally
 
yellowing at the top is either to much phos. to high ph,or wet usually. not my rules .and not my rules its chemistries

an just because its soil dont assume the ph needs to be high.
Cation exchange of the medium is whats it about,
 
Only if the ratio of the nutrients to each other is out of wack.
If your pH is 5.5 that's not the issue unless your mix has more phos then there should be.
Which will hender the iron and zinc.to much cal messes with boron and magnesium and to much magnesium will hender calcium.

How many ppm of phos are you running? Is it over 65 ppm?
 
I’m using Green House Feeding bio organic line. It’s an all in one fert so everything should be in it. Ca/mg ratio is 1:2.
You mix the grow powder with the substrate before planting and then top dress with the bloom at beginning of flowering. I also use the enhancer (kelp+humic acid) every two week.

I’m using hard tap water so ca/mg should be good, but maybe it’s too much ?
 
I don’t have a tds meter unfortunately. I don’t really need with organic amendments.

actually I did buy one with the ph meter but I arrived damaged.
How can I check ppm of P only ? All the other dissolved salts in the water will false the reading
 
Look at the label and what does it say.
And remember if you run a lower pH phos is highly mobile and plants will suck all of it up fast after a fresh feeding
So some time after they grow at night the next morning there can be a slight yellowing the fresh phos is abundant. That can give faux def.
