Nas, quality rap / music

So anyone else been listening to the new tracks by Nas? I love all music but rap and hip hop have definitely been what I listen to mostly over the years.

It is refreshing to hear quality rap again with some heavy meaning in what seems to be track after track on this new album. I was seriously getting turned off of my favourite music simply because too many retards were just spewing out pure crap.

Yeah I got his new CD its damn good. I love his lyrics and the fact he rips the shit out of the rap stereotype (only say 10 words per song, songs about same shit, etc.)

Nas will always be a living legend to me. We definitely have been needing some real rap records with all this "pop" rap coming out.

Lil wayne still has his place though, people say he rhymes random shit...he doesn't...if you really listen its like every one of those random rhymes is a metaphor:peace: He isn't even near Nas though.

Those are my sentiments exactly, rap was cutting edge for many years then suddenly we got into this overly commercialized version that basically propagated all the negative sides of the music. Guns, drugs, pimping, money, killing, cars is just not entertaining in comparison to uplifting intellectual history lessons and present day problems spun together masterfully.

Yeah, Lil Wayne spits science. He's probably been the realest rapper in recent years. But Nas is from a different era.

Definitely Tupac is intense. Dear mama isn't his favourite song of mine but it certainly isn't on of those tracks I skip.

From the Nas album I am definitely feeling the sly fox track the most but I am a conspiracy nut.....

oh man Nas was killer. definitely one of the best rappers out there today, QTip was real good too, Tribe was tight but you could tell they'd been out of the game whereas Nas was on top of his shit. oh yea Spank Rock was tiight, dirty, dirty rap but fun as fuck i know there were a few others but i was so damn high i can't recall..
