need a bigger extractor

hey all riu bho heads i need a bigger extractor. right now only can do 1-2 ounces at a time. i need to build a much bigger set up so can run larger batches at once. does anyone have any ideas..

i was thinking of a stainless steel pipe cut to 2-3ft in length and 2 inches wide with a cap on top.

any info on making a larger set up would be great..

IMO you don't need a bigger extractor. You need MORE extractors. Why get one 3' tube when you can use three 1' tubes? With three smaller tubes the tane won't be going over the same material too long so you are less likely get undesirable color/taste from chlorophyll. Also with a 3' tube you've got no options besides filling the entire tube. With 3 smaller tubes you have 3 choices in the amount of material you can extract.
 
What he said^. You get better yeilds doing smaller runs with 1" diameter of the tube being the widest you want to go. Any wider and one can of tane really doesn't provide sufficient pressure during the extraction. I'm just curious as to why you want to go so big?

IMO the perfect tube is one big enough to be completed using exactly one can.
 
well i found some stainless pipe for a good price 2ft long 2in wide. Gunna try my attempt at making a homeade okief style extractor see what it ends up costing me and will post results. as for. capping the pipe any ideas. i was thinking c-pvc cap with whole drilled in top. What size drill bit shoulde be used. any opinions
 
Take a drill bit and match it up with the cap of butane you like to use. There is no specific drill bit as there are 6 different butane caps you can use all different widths/lengths.

I wouldn't use pvc as a cap or else you going to have to replace it every few runs. Is you SS pipe threaded on any end? You could find a stainless steel cap. How much did the pipe cost?
 
the pipe cost 65$ not threaded. having trouble deciding how to cap it. hearing different opions from people i talk to. how about a whole set up from C-pvc think that would be ok for bho as its more solvant safe
