Need CFL grow box help

I have the box built. I was wondering if I should add two 23w 6500k bulbs to my grow. Yes more lights are always better... but, if I add 2 more lights I grow 4 plants instead of 6. The box is 1.375 ft2 Which design do you think is better?

tough call, i mean your kinda limited to space, but you still are looking for the wattage. i would go with the first set up, it is more elegant. pick up some Y connectors so you can have two bulbs out of a single socket if you think you need more light.

post pics of your box, sounds like a stealth gem. cfl doesnt weigh up, but it can be potent as fuck. Gl.

No room for Y connects. Also I could just throw 2 more 42w 2700k bulbs in. I am wondering if running the bulbs down the middle will increase the yield enough to justify 4 plants instead of 6. I will post pics of the box later my wife and kids are up atm. It wont be stealth if they see me taken shots of the box. heh Anybody else got a opinion?

I don't know really. Because your second idea there.. Where would you put your plant? Because the way you have your lights set.. where you have them.. and the way you have them.. you would be losing light either way you put the plant. I see two places where the plant and pot would and could be placed if it was me. But.. I thought.. (in the second pic) no matter if you put the plant on the left or right side. Your going to be wasting light.

Take a second look man.. I don't think your second idea would work as you have it setup at the moment. Nope.

Because I don't know where the heck your gonna be putting 4 plants. Because I would think you would run into
problems with not having enough room for the plants ya dig? I could be wrong... but ehh I dunno. Just don't
see the second idea working to well.. with one plant.. or 4 plants.

Well im going to be growing diesel ryder keeping it in smaller pots to stunt growth, and if I have to ill tie it down somehow. the idea with the second box is to add more direct light along the sides of the plants.

if that's going to be your veg and flowering box I'd go with the 54w 6,500K lights insted of the 42w CFL then maybe 1 or 2 42w 2,700K CLFs and if your going with veg then to flowering you can change the 6,500K lights with the 2,700K lights and if you can try to pick up some 96% reflective mylar.

If your going to have 2 boxes have 2 for flowering and 1 for veg and for the flowering do the SOG method if not topping is your best friend to keep the hight down.
