so heres the situation, there were 4 plants outside all well grown and doing fine about 4 to 6 feet tall starting to bud all over but still tiny buds. about a week or so ago two got eaten drastically and the other two only had the bottom three feet or so of branches eaten off. after that they were moved inside... sooo basically there are two tops of plants looking like xmas trees. they look fine and seem to be growing fine indoors howver the clippings and left over branches that were gatherd were put in a vase with water and were revived for a day or two they started to un-wilt and look healthy so i planted them in soil to hopefully sprout roots. the thing is i dont think they will because the some of the clippings are like 3 feet high some 4 ft, and they are thick stems and i dont feel like they will actually sprout roots or anything , they have been in soil for 5 days, under a 250w red heat lamp and a blue plant food light 125w, and they seem to be wilting . i am nervous is there any way to save these?

when will a plant clone and re root and when wont it? any advice will help. thanks
augustus.

Why are you using a heat lamp?
Are you trying to continue with the flowering or revert to veg?

If yo are trying to GO back to VEG period.... which is probably the only way to get them to root... you shold consider using CFLs... 20 hours on, 4 hours off..

You could also take some clones from these monster branches.. and use rockwool, cloning get and other rooting techniques...

well some of the little guys were taken off the monster branches and that seems to be a hit or miss some look like they are livin and some dont they are in soil. and as for the red heat lamp its the only thing affordable, its a bathroom heat lamp from home depot as well as the plant food light thats blue. cfls wernt able to be aquired but a pair of plant and aquarium florecents will soon be put up do you think this will be better? and should the red heat lamp be tossed??
