Aphid

I can only see one cornicle though & its really really small so im not 100% on this. Especially since there on the floor.

Can you double check the plants and let us know if you find any on the underside or stems of any of the plants? Could also be a root aphid.

Not good
Aphids, tiny pear-shaped insects about 1/8 inch long, feed on your houseplants' sap. They also secrete a sticky substance called honeydew, which ants love. Aphid infestations aren’t typically harmful to your plant’s overall health, but their feeding can make plants look unattractive and the honeydew they secrete can lead to sooty mold. Aphids aren’t difficult to kill, whether you use natural or chemical treatments, but heavy infestations will need repeated treatments for total eradication.

There is nothing on the plants or underside... They seems to come from the soil
i think is not a infestation yet, can i control this with neem oil??

What you guys recomend ?

If you have some give it a shot.

Neem doesn't work all that well once its a full on infestation & neem can work well as a deterrent.

Dig around as much as you can in the pots & try and find out just how many their are. Ive seen pots that have an infestation on only one side or a corner etc.

ROOT APHIDS.
thanks for the picture. I couldn't get one. I'm going to use it.

I have them too. They are the devil.
There are millions in your roots. You cant kill everyone. Unless you scrap every plant.
I decided to finish my flowering because I am moving soon. They take a huge toll on plants in an bad way.

My best results so far is to water then wait till you see them surface. Spray and squish like mad.
Also lowering temperatures helps slow them down a little.
I've used Neem, Pyrethrin, K salts of fatty acid.
This only works at reducing their numbers for a few days.
They always come back.
They are the worst bug I have encountered yet.
Worse then spider mites.

Depending on what stage your grow is at you could try re-potting the plants. remove all the bad soil and get rid of it. Then apply a pyrethrin, neem, etc etc to the roots. THen BLAST the roots with water as well as soaking them (which you probably already had to do to remove ALL the soil)

its a bit tricky to do & the plants are guna get a bit stressed.

I have 5 little plants in a small pot and one bigger plant in a medium pot, first i saw the bugs on the big pot, you think they are in the root of every pot by now?

should i try to replant every single plant?

is there any problem to put the root all togheter on the new pot?

can the plants die in this process???

Your in veg. Use a gnarly systemic and that should do the trick. I'd spend 40 hours researching pesticides and root aphids. I did and learned a lot.
If it doesn't clear. I'd restart. The problem is most notable at 2-3 weeks flower. When the roots stop growing.
I'm doing battle with them now and its all in my grow log if you'd like to check.

When you water, drench the whole top layer. A second after the water drains you will see them all surfacing. They will hop all over like fleas. They will try crawling up into the plant. The winged ones lay eggs in the plants and the babies are tiny and all over the leaves. It is necessary to carefully treat the leaves and stems as well.

when they are hopping around like fleas after I water is the best time I have found best to spray. I use Neem, Pyrethrin, K salts of fatty acid.
If I was 2 months from harvest I would use Bayer, mathlion, or avid as a flush and spray.
I am also trying to keep the root zone colder. 60's this slows down the bugs.

When I switched to flower a huge number of phantom deficiencies popped up and the plants take twice as long to use up water.

By the time you have figured out what they are you can be sure you have a major infestation and they are in every pot. Even in the next room. They can travel far.

Hey man thanks a lot for the information !

Dont know yet the size of the problem, but, like a said a spoted them in the very beginning.

I replanted the bigger plant, she was in natural soil that a buyed on the flower store. I think they were coming from that pot.

I water the plants 2 times since a put the neem oil and nothing comes from the soil like happens to you. double checked the leaves the stems and underneath, not one bug found.. I just found some dead guys floating at the bottom of the pot (3 or 4) after watering the first time.

but in the second time nothing happend, I will water one more time today just to make sure..

Maybe they can be hidden on the roots, maybe they were gone.. time will say.

if something happens I'll let you know!

Made a purchase of azamax anyway, some people say that is very good for aphids. I will look your grow log and try to learn more about theses MF..

I live in brazil and we dont have to much hydroponic stores around here not even wall mart so everything I need to buy I look on the ebay. and it takes time to arrive here.

Dont know what is gnarly sistemic, I'll do some research on google and try to figure out.

THANK YOU A LOT one more time. Not everyone cares about the other one's problems.

thanks to share the information.

hope your ladies gonna be fine and bring the big buds you deserve!

  • azamax will work but is a systemic, which mean it must be taken in by the plant. Then the bugs eating on the plant will die off. You may need to fog with Pyrethrin to keep furture pest off.

If your not to far into the grow I would start over and sanitize the room.

Maybe you could put them out side to finish.

The root aphids have a way of becoming a whole lot more noticeable a week or two after switching to flower.
The best way I have found to spot tiny bugs on the leaves is with piece of paper held under the plant while you slap it around.
You may start to notice what looks like fungus gnats. They aren't they are egg layers looking for leaves.
The root aphid has 5 stages of life. It can be a pretty complicating bug.
It kicked my ass before I even noticed. I don't consider myself a rookie either.
Some days I can literally find piles of hundreds those bugs dead on the floor. They hopped out like fleas.
Good luck.

And I was thinking the worst pest was spider mites..
now i see how you doin with these crazy bastards and I wish better days for us.
I forgot to say that im using automatic seeds so a dont switch to flower..
im running 20/4 all the way down.
I'll wait 3 days to see wjat happens and them on the 4th day I will put neem oil all over the place again.
as soon as azamax arrives i will do a nice clean up maybe take everything out from the tent and spray the whole thing.

I thinking to purchase some fogger, you recoment any brand?

on the next time I will try DWC

good luck for us!
