Need help with digital ph meter

This is going to be my first hydro grow ... I just got my ph meter in the mail , I got a Milwaukee ph600 if anyone has used this it would be great for some reviews .
Also , I've tried to do some research on how to store the meter . Some say u can use tap water and some say not to and use only storage solution .. Which one is correct ?
Some say to just drop some on the probe before storing and put cap on . How exactly should I store it ... Seeing how it comes with a cap ... Kinda confused ... Please help

I have had the sm802 for a few years and love it. The only problem I had with it was storing it in other than tap water. When I called customer service they were exceptional, sent out a new probe immediately and told me to keep in tap water only. Not a problem for four years now and rarely does it need calibrating.

i just put the cap on while still wet, and it's fine. the ec meter, i keep dry when covered though.
