need help with lighting ??

Hey RIU, i am new to growing and i just purchased a 400 watt hps/mh 6" cool tube light. and for me to cool my light i have to buy a 6" fan is that correct??LED Wholesalers GYO2009 3-Piece 400 Watt Hydroponic 6-Inch Cool Tube Grow Light Set
by LED Wholesalers. i need to know how to cool my lights and how to hook up a carbon filter, and what kind of equipment i will need i also have a 3'X3'X60" grow tent on order.

thermometer, fan, ph meter, timer, and a handy dandy surge protector. nutrients after a few weeks.

If you get a filter you just your HV fan before the light and your carbon filter behind your light, your fan will pull air through the filter then through the light and out of your tent.

Just wanted to add, that my hoods have a 6 in. vent hole, but I have an 8 in. fan. They have size connector things you can get, the people at home depot helped me get everything I needed. Once you vent your light/tent, you will be fully qualified to handle installing a carbon filter.

thanks buddy i did not know that i could get a bigger fan with connectors, like i said i am new to growing but very excited to get started, i cant wait until my tent and lights get here!! do you think that a 400 watt hps will work in a 3'x3' tent on about 3 plants or do you think i should of went with a higher wattage? money is a little bit of a issue my wife will kick my ass if i spend $500 at one time LOL!! it was hard enough to get me too get her to agree with this whole operation since she dont even smoke !!
