Need help with Supersoil.

Hey fellow stoners
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could identify my issues or give me a little guidance. I have always grown synthetic bottle nutrients and I thought I would try super soil plant on the side as I plan on moving into organic gardening

I was advised by the manufacturer to add 1/3 super soil to the bottom of my pot and the rest a no till living soil.

3 weeks before flower I transplanted into the living soil/supersoil and it went great until week 4.
I put it down to crappy watering practice, pulled my head in to gear and have stuck to a strict 500ml a day rather then 1.5 litres every second or third.

I added some nutrients at the first sign of deficiency which only made symptoms worsen so I believe my soil my be to “hot” now. Interesting because the root mass continues to look as healthy as ever.

I have also made given it 3 compost teas spaced 2 weeks apart, using the supersoil itself, worm casting and DrGreenthumbs High Tea for additional microbes to see no real increase in plant health.

-Healthy Tank Water (nearly no ppm)
-630w CMH
-20- 26 Celsius
-50- 60 RH
-Maintaining VPD for 90% of the day.

Thanks Superleaf! All the others are on bottled nutrients. Just running one super soil on the side as I’m moving into organic growing.
I think it’s a N deficiency, a sell as P, but both should be abundant in my soil. Maybe it’s too hot?

Yo Simpleleaf

I basically wrote this plant off today and decided to find out what is going on.
I watered heavy enough to get run off and checked the ppm and it was hot!. 3.2million or something. so I flushed till it was around the 1.0 if it doesn’t recover from the stress of today it’s no real loss.

I always flush my bottled nutrient girls pretty heavy and they never fail so I’m confident it will make it to harvest alongside them.

To correct this issue in the future I will halve the manufacturer’s recommendation, compensating with their no till living soil as I’m vegging in that currently and have no issues at all.
I have been gardening long enough to know less is better. I just diluted my soil a lot so I was under the impression it may get deficient early but cleat I can go even further.

I am very new to RIU but thread you linked was very helpful. I also read somewhere on RIU it’s worth mixing your super rather then layering as it tends to continue to cook within the centre of the pot.
I may have depleted some of the nutes in the soil today by flushing so heavily but I’m sure it will continue to cook when I till it.

The yield on this plant is terrible but if the next organic is at least 20% more successful I will stop using bottled nutrients and set up a couple of raised beds.
Amending with super soil and living as the rest.

Synthetic bottles have been a wonderful learning experience but fuck dude I swear Monsanto owns them all now or something all the good ones are discontinued, all the big names grow well but don’t really couch lock you.
A major element is missing and I remember getting way higher.
Genetics are local to AU but still award winning 22%’rs so I’d take it after a fat scoob you’d be feeling pretty fruity.
Weed has taken a major hit here due to PGR and other crazy techniques people use for profit. But synthetic doesn’t seem to be keeping me high very long either!
Probably something getting sprayed in the air here
Either way my last option is organics, and from what I have been reading it will have the best ability to repair what could have been damaged over the last few years.
Happy growing!
