I got a 2'x4'x5' grow tent with a 400 watt hps going in it right now. I got an adjust a wing reflector, and I got a 6 inch booster fan pushing air out of the top of the tent. I got a 4 inch personal fan blowing fresh air in the tent on the lower left hand side. The problem is my temp is around 90 degrees. I don't really have the money to upgrade anything until next month. I put my hands palm down on top of the tallest plant and it don't seem hot to me, but I just worry about the temp reading at 90. Any help would be appreicated. Thank you

your going to need to eventually get a ducted hood or run an ac unit with the wing. I know how it is to be strapped for cash so fore now you could put a fan down low and aim it high to push the hot air upwards. To do it right you are eventually going to need a carbon filter(phresh makes great ones), a ducted hood and a real exhaust fan. I like the sunleaves windtunnel ones since they take the lease power to run and are the quietest to use. Grad either a 6 or 8inch one. If there are vents on top of the tent right now open them all up. Maybe lay a box fan ontop of the tent that is laying down to draw the air out. 90 deg is going to make hermies or super slow growth. good luck

Thats my plan when I get paid is to get a vented hood. I dimmed the light to 75%, which I can put to 50 but I don't want to lose to much light. I put a box fan in the tent which lowered the temps but it was blowing the plants around a lot.

Plants grow outside in over 100 degree heat. I run my tent around 86 in the summer, no problems yet.
