hello all, this is my first post. Second grow, and I'm in dire need of help. My girl is 7 weeks old and fan leaves started yellowing and developing huge rust spots at about week 4 and theyre slowly dying off. I know lower fan leaves are supposed to die off naturally (depending on the strain)_ but it seems to be climbing up plant. This is an all organic grow, started out in fox farm light warrior until 3 weeks old. Then transferred to a 50/50 mix of light warrior and ocean forest. Ive only supplemented with big bloom once so it cant be nute burn. Im sure its a deficiency, maybe calcium/magnesium ? Shes 18 inches tall and my temps are at a steady 76-79 degrees wiith humidity at 40% while the 400 watt metal halide is on. Im using distilled water, ph at 6.5 every watering, ppms are at about 200 at this point. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I would check your run off for ph & ppm the next time you water or feed:lol:Goin' by what you said I can't see it being burned:lol:But you have leave tip that looked burned:lol:I used to love ffof :cry:Its just not same:finger:

im having the same problem dosent seem to really happen for me until i bloom. except for the last mom that i had it just started doing it. cloned it an the clone mom as of now is like 3 months old an no sign of the brown dots until i bloom. do you know what strain it is?

Run off is fine. Ph at 6.5 with ppms a little high. But thats typical fox farm. I was thinking highly of a calcium deficiency condsidering im using distilled water.
I know every set up is different with each problem being able to pertain to a milllion different reasons, but im certain this is the one. But ive been wanting to get some new soil anyway..

any suggestions?
should i just make my own compost?

thanks guys.

Cal-Mag deficiency, for sure. Get a cal-mag supplement or use tap water. Honestly, if your tap water is around 6.5-7.5, I would just use that, and light nutrient solution. No need for micro-nutrients just yet. FFOF is great if you're aware of what it has and what it doesn't.

Also, 200ppm is very low. I would go half-strength with a basic grow N-P-K fertilizer in tap water. Should bring you to 500-600PPM. Your plant will love you :)

If your thinking of new soil I would suggest Sunshine promix 4. I've been useing both really. I start mt plants in 1gal smart pots w/ SSpm4 & up can into 3 gal sm/pots w/ FF/OF. My plants love it. Just a suggestion.

so, my tap is around 250 ppms (and tastes like shit) so just add around 300 ppms of fertilizers and they'll be satisfied? Alot of people are saying that ffof isnt what it used to be. Why is that?

It looks like splash up or nute burn. FFOF is great and with regular transplants, I have gone without any nutes the entire grow.

Ive only nuted with big bloom twice now, 1 tsp each feeding.I completely forgot that I sprayed with azamax as i noticed a couple of spidermites a few weeks ago.
thats probably the reason. SHITTTT

ive stopped my brown spots, i was spraying my plants with a foiler spray before my light kicks off an it was burning it. I dont knw if you spray your plants if you do dont while the light is on.
