Need More Lumen Without Adding Heat

So ive got a small closet going right now, about 2x2x6, its divided into two sections all for vegging (doing my budding outside) top portion is about 2 foot and is lite by a 4 bulb 2 foot T5 with about 8,000 lumen+/-. The bottom is 4 foot with a 150 watt HPS about 18,000 lumen +/- i would like to double the lumen in my room with out adding heat if possible. I was thinking about adding 10-12 23 watt CFL's to the mix but wanted to get some input... Ive read about LED's but I don't have 1,000 bucks to drop on a good one and the cheap ones just scare me... Whats my best option here?

Thanks for any input. bongsmilie

Every source of light will emit some amount of heat. You can always duct the heat through a enclosed air cooled hood.

12 x 23w CFL's will produce a surprising amount of heat in an enclosed space, especially if you add them to a HPS setup.

Why not upgrade to a 250/400w HPS? It'll produce less heat than a 150w HPS and 10-12 23w CFL's (all individual sources of radiant heat), it just produces more direct heat so put a fan between it and the plants. It'll give you a shitload more bud too ;) Hope this helps.

get as big of a hps as you can fit in and duct it with a cool tube and a fan that way most of the heat is removed from the closet
some thing like http://sog.shopau.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=1167 and i suppose just duct it with something like http://sog.shopau.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=46&products_id=212

well thats what i would do/ want to do
Good advice. My recommendation, as well.
That is what I have done, and it is great. I have 400 watt HPS running a Son Agro 430. in a 3 ft square X 76" high. Cool tube keeps the temps in the 70s.
