Need to know if its enough lighting

I will be using 2 13.5 gallon storage bins in a tent big enough for those 2.Is a 400watt hps/mh light enough for both,or not enough.4-6 plants in each.thanks any input is needed,and I havent bought anything yet,looking to get it tomorrow.

The sun averages 7k lumens per sqft ,most plants have adapted to be able to handle the sun;) Over 10k or about 110,000lux if your a weirdo will bleach your plants. That's the sun at its strongest...when this bleaching occurs the plant is not being able to keep up chlorophyll production at rates necessary

Soooooo do the math

I always run multiple plants per tub/pot

I would not do multiple plants per bin.. But that's me..

I think everyone should stick to lumens(especially newbs).. it gets too confusing as watts don't measure light.........
2100 lumens is required to sustain photosynthesis, sun throws an average of 7 and max of 10. Somewhere in that range is what you should emulate....
