Strain: Nemesis by Seedsman
Growth: Indica-leaning hybrid
Nutes: Foxfarm
Yield: 1.6 Oz
Bag Appeal: Dense, dark green nugs. Tight indica-style buds. Good bag appeal.
Smell: Strong fuel odor while growing and drying, which mostly goes away after curing.
Taste: Acidic vinegar on the exhale, earthy and bitter aftertaste.
The High: Very nice! Sativa first, then indica/sativa at higher doses. Long lasting.
Comments: I havent seen a smoke report for this strain, so here goes. First a few words about growth. I grew one feminized seed in soil under 150W HPS. I started flowering when the plant was about 10-12 inches tall and got about a 3x stretch. I flowered for 9 weeks and harvested at about 10% amber trichs. My yield was 1.6 Oz, and this was without training of any sort. I fed Foxfarm nutes and solubles, pretty much following their schedule, except that I used Beastie Bloomz for several feedings. I seem to get a bigger yield that way. The only problem I had was some light and heat damage to the top of the main cola. The HPS was a good 6 inches from the plant, but still there was bleaching of leaves at the very top. During flowering theres a strong odor of fuel, which reminds me of kerosene. Towards harvest time, theres an additional lemon scent. The buds smell very strongly of kerosene and dirty socks while drying. Ive cured the buds for about three weeks, and now the smell is mostly gone.
The buds are pretty dense, and you really have to break up the nugs to get the fuel smell out of them. I smoked a joint (regular Zig-Zag papers) and noticed a very acidic taste on the exhale. It tasted a lot like vinegar or a chemical flavor. It also left an earthy, bitter aftertaste that reminded me of burnt popcorn. This is certainly not the best tasting weed Ive smoked. I also tried vaporizing, and it gave the generic fresh green flavor typical of vaped weed.
The high is very good. It starts quickly with sativa effects around the eyes and in the head. At higher doses, you get a nice even head-body high. Nemesis is a hybrid of an Indian sativa and a Nepalese indica, and the indica influence is not heavy or stoney like an afghani. The Nepalese influence complements the sativa effects very well, giving a more euphoric and energized feeling as opposed to couchlock.
I think this strain has a lot going for it: Its easy to grow, gives a good yield, and has a very nice high. The only problem is with the smell while growing and curing, and the flavor of the smoke. Ill probably not grow this one again soon because of the flavor, but I might crack a couple more seeds sometime in the future just to see if there are different phenos.
