Hey, This is my first grow and there seems to be tons of info on this site. Awsome resource for us. Im a very experienced smoker, having lived in BC and Cali ive smoked the best. Where i live now i cant seem to get the quality i am used to so i want to grow my own. I noticed that my plant, just a test plant which is from bag seed from over a year ago i found in a drawer, is growing weird compared to the others ive seem in pics and vids. I have it in a humus/peatmoss/compost/perlite mixture w about 20% perlite. I had to bury some of the stem today as it was not strong enough to hold up the plant when i spray it with water. probably due to a bit of stretch fromthe sun. Started the plant on a window ledge in a small grow cup. Transferred to the 3 gal. pot 4 days ago and put it under 4x23 watt 2700k cfl, 2x6500k 23 watt cfls, and d 4 foot t5 in 4100k. Im buying more powerful 6500k cfl's next week. The stem stretched a bit in the window as u can see from the pics. It is just starting to get some leaves on it pretty good now but looks a lil curly and strange. This is a test plant to get my lights right and figure out how to properly nute and stuff. I have some Nirvana northern lights, Kannabia's domina haze, Big Buddha cheesy dick, Barneys farms Liberty Haze, and Greenhouses Big Bang in the mail rite now coming to me and id like to have a nice grow.
Anyways heres some pics of this little mystery plant, is there anything wrong with it?
How big of a grow space will i need for the 5 plants i listed?

One more Question, i know weed stinks in flowering, but how much will it actually smell. its in the basement, behind a wall, in a grow box. Will it reek up my upstairs...we get hot humid(80+% humidity july/aug) summers here. I could vent it out the dryer vent but is it worth the bother/?

My growbow is a metal table frame flipped on end, i put it against 2 walls and literally taped it to the wall, put a couple of pieces of drywall i had around on top with cardboard and tape vent flaps to openclose for heat exchange. Cut up a curtain with a white backing on it for a front, ply wood for 1 side. tin foiled the inside. Made my reflector out of a plastic bin lid. Took apart some old lamps for sockets. And old fan from thrift store for 50 cents.bought the double socket adapters for a few bucks at home depot. I am ordering a grow tent off ebay in a couple weeks just dont know what size to get.

PICS..in order from day 2 of repotting into 3 gal, then day 3, and day 4. plus my temporary light setup for now.

Comments of any sort are always appreciated. Also i was thinking of foliage nutes instead of soil nutes...any thoughts

Looks like you're drowning it for one thing, but I think you have a plant that can't decide whether to veg or go into flower.
What was/ is your lighting schedule?

my lighting schedule is 24 hour light. for the first week and a half from germination it was on a window ledge with sunlight during the day and under a lamp at nite with just a regular 2700k cfl bulb in the livingroom. even then it was on 24 hour light, even if it was not a strong light. ill wait for it to be really dry before watering again.

Should be using 6500K Full spectrum for veg. 2700 will induce flowering. Some serious clawing going on as well let that whoore dry out for a bit. I would have light sched on at 18/6 imho. You wanna grow this plant first right?.. I mean you could 12/12 right away the yeild wouldn't be that good. and Get more CFLS man the more the better.

Yes my fault. 12/12 LIGHTING will Induce..(is what I meant) . 2700K is spectrum mainly used to flower. But I have seen it being used to Veg also.. and mixed specs. thanks for the correction there grorite

The problem is that this plant is being loved to death. Stop watering so much. Let the medium dry out between waterings. Also looks like some water-activated time-release soil causing a bit of nute burn. What soil are you using? Soils that have time release nutrients will release food when wet and when you keep it wet like that, you get a constant stream of food that is too strong for the plant at such a young and delicate time.

Solution: Less water, less often.

BTW, a friend of mine named her unknown bag seed strain "Miss Terry" because her genetics are a mystery lol

Yea let it dry some. You can get a cheap prod moisture meter for a few bucks and when in doubt poke in into the soil. If it is still wet a few inches down leave it be. The top of the soil can look dry and there could still be enough moisture below.

Letting it dry out some will also promote root growth. It will seek out water.

Let the plant partially dry out, but don't ever go bone dry.
The plant looks like it has a nitrogen toxicity issue to me. Use a less nutrient dense mix for seedlings in the future, and don't feed the plant any more nutrients till she begins to ask for them.
Grow her out, learn from this experience, study/print out a few of the nutrient deficiency/toxicity tables that are found everywhere online, and read a book called Teaming with Microbes. Eventually, you will learn to listen to the plants you are growing. :peace:
