New Ebb & Flow Setup, Advice and Opinions Wanted

As of September 1st I will be starting my first solo grow room. Its going to be a legal grow under California's prop 215. As such, I will be staying under the legal limit of 6 mature plants per patient. I will be growing for 8 patients, which affords me 48 mature plants. After a lot of research, here are the details of my grow plan.

8 x 8 Grow room inside a 10 x 11 bedroom.
4 3x3 Trays Ebb and Flow in Rockwool over Coco Mats
1 600W per 3x3 Tray
12 plants per tray (Limited due to # of Medical Cards)
Achieve a perpetual harvest by staggering each 3x3 tray 2-3 weeks (based on strain’s total flowering time).

Potential Equipment List:
600W Lumatek HPS with Hortilux bulb: $350 x 4

Econojet 3x3 Ebb and Flow Hydroponic System: $350 x 4

Growbright Inline Fan 6” 424 cfm and Charcoal Filter combo: $200
http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52583

12 6” Rockwool and 3x3 Coco Mat: $150
Best places to find these?

Wood, Nails, Reflective Siding etc... for the Grow Room inside the Room: $100

Thermostat, pH Testers, etc... $200
Best deals on these?

I would like advice on a couple things. First and foremost I need to select a strain. Ideally Indica or Indica dominant, although 50/50s would be ok. The main considerations are Veg and Flowering times in weeks, and how much weight per plant can be harvested. Put these two considerations together and you get an average weight per week per plant number (how inelegant was that!). A strain with a higher number is better. I obviously want a strain with the highest number possible since I am limited in the number of plants I can grow. This is also why I shied away from a SoG operation which generally favors a large number of smaller plants. If I am looking at this the wrong way, please let me know...as a SoG operation looks great otherwise.

Secondly, I am curious about people’s thoughts on having NO veg time for your clones. I read about the idea in this thread:
https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html
and want to know if I can do the same thing with the operation I have proposed here. This again comes back to maximizing based on plant limits.

Third: what are people’s thoughts on the equipment list and the prices for them. I am looking for top quality products at the best price, so if someone knows where to get better deals for the best stuff, let me know!

Next: any holes or potential problems with my plan? Speak up now! I only have 2 weeks to finalize before purchasing everything and starting 1 week after that. Also, general advice and recommendations for flood timings, nutrient combos, etc... are all greatly appreciated.

Lastly, am I missing anything with regards to CA prop 215 laws? I am trying to stay legal (state wise at least) 100%.

I would reduce the number of plants per tray to 9 and I would stagger the grows trays about two weeks apart so you will be able to harvest over a pound every two weeks. If you try to do it all at once , you will be amazed how much work really goes into harvesting and curing.
Even with legal patients to grow for , does your city allow you to grow that many plants in a single house ?
You still have a lot of reading and research to do. A couple of plants is fun , what you are trying to achieve is gonna be some work.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. Yeah, the city I live in allows this number of plants.

The number of plants per tray was decided because of the plant limit. (I wanted to grow the max number of plants for the # of patients I will be growing for). What is the reasoning behind 3 less plants per tray? This will be my first grow of this size, so I'm all for modifying my plan based on other's opinions.

less plants per tray will allow said plants to grow bigger. you can grow 9 large plants are more smaller plants. More plants doesn't always mean more weight. They bush out and can only get so much light when you have more plants. one plant per square foot is a good rule to go by. I do a 2x4 tray with six plants and it gets very crowded for my girls. I know it doesn't sound right , but you will see.

Thanks for the explanation man. This makes a lot of sense. I think I will start with the 9 plants. Any suggestions for a good strain that grows big and fast? I am looking at B-52 (for its fast flowering time), Big Bud (for it's size and speed), Blueberry (for yield and speed), Flo (for its super fast flowering time), PK2, Hindu Kush, Norther Lights or one of its off-shoots (#1 or #5), Purple, White Russian, or White Widow. Any other considerations? Again, thanks for taking the time to respond!
