New grow: Black Domina

My 2nd grow - my first is just finishing in the next few weeks..

I have two rooms:

Closet 2'x4'x9' w/ a 400w HPS
Bathroom (im using one corner) w/ a 200w 65k CFL.

Growing in a soiless mix:
75% Peat
Perlite and humus

Nutrients:
Botanicare PB Grow, bloom and karma (original series).

Temps in closet 22C night 27C lights on
Temps in bathroom 68F night 78F day

Strain:

Black Domina (local High times store)
Skunk#1 (leftover clone from my first grow)

Here are the black domina seedlings 18 days old and the skunk clone is 31 (its slow because it was from a flowering plant its in the back on the left)

Ok update time!

Day 23 for my BD seeds and day 35 for my Skunk#1 clone.

Back right is the skunk#1 the rest are BD. Back right is the healthiest plant - almost ready to take some clones, maybe another 2 weeks.

Ok so my first grow is almost ready to be harvested ( im on day 50/65-70) So i harvested some smaller buds that were mostly orange/brown hairs. Its a test to see how fast/slow they dry. Im going to use the flowering room but for now this is how they are drying. The window is open and the next room has a fan so the air is being moved around. Temps at 65-68 Rh 45-50.

I weighed them after a day of drying wet weight is about 68g (so probably 40g wet without the stems). So by the time its the final harvest il have some smoke!

Yeah here is the update the photos are from friday or thurs?. Ive cut clones from 2 of the biggest plants. (4 from each) and i also cut about 8 from the skunk plant. they are in a humidity dome temps are 78-80F and 95-100RH. sprayed about 2-3 a day.

All under the 200w CFL. Looks so far like 2/5 plants are female! the rest are the slow ones..

And the clone area. Under 40w il get some pics of the clones one of these days!

And im just a week or 2 away from the harvest! the buds i took earlier were incredible smoke - cant wait for the final product (il put pictures up soon)

Ah, nice so far man, can't wait to see the harvest from your first grow! Def interested to see how the black domina grows up, i'd like to try it out once.

plants in flower cutting them next monday! Clones in the dome then the plants. nothing to exciting..

This used to be a 4" clone! now its a massive bud

This is a topped skunk#1

clones from BD and Skunk#1

Black D plants a week away from all being sexed and then il choose a mother(or 2).

I have smoke skunk and grown BD

Good luck, loved the BD

That stuff was soo crazy looking and knock you on your ass

ha thats what the guy who sold the seeds said. So far 3/5 are female (or showing female pistils..) I didnt buy fem seeds tho.. is this common with BD?

It has been a few years since, I think we did about the same

We got our seeds from the man himself Marc Emery before the big bust so that tells you how far back it was

I will see if I can't dig up a couple pictures

If you do it right the stuff is amazing, one of my fav's for sure

Ok so i stopped counting the days in veg but im sure its around 1 or 2 months now and all plants have grown up nice and big.

I chose 2 as mother plants. My selection was plants 4 and 5.

They matched the description on sensi seeds and any reviews of the strain.

My last harvest was great. 3 or 4 oz of skunk#1 from 3 plants. I plan to double/tripple this time around (7oz skunk and 7-14oz Black domina.)

here is the remaing veg plants plus a clone from each mother. These are just test plants and i will be forced to chop early because of the holidays but the real grow will begin on Jan 3. they started 12/12 today.

Thanks, ive been busy with school so here is the update.

out of all the BD i thought i had chosent the right pheno but when i put them (all 5 in my tiny closet was quite a sight!) into flower i realized i made a huge mistake. #1 was the perfect phenotype according to everything ive read. Good thing ive got about 4 clones and 4 more that i took from the first week of flower. My camera is dead at the moment so i hope to get some more recent pics up tonight. I pulled 2 males so in total i have a small forest in my closet:

3 BD (soon 2 if one doesnt start growing..) in 3.5-4g buckets
2 or 3 skunk clones in beer cups
2 or 3 black domina #5 (the other good pheno) in beer cups

I also started some jack herer - 2 seeds germed from the 3. Planted and growing (day 3 for them) and im breeding my strongest male BD and my Skunk#1 tonight or tommorow on week 3.

Im in the 3rd week of flowering as on wed dec 2.

Ok time for some old photos to mabe get this thread going again!

(these are all from the start of the 2nd week so 2 of the 5 have been tossed)

1.Flower room
2.Big BD
3. Clones

i love it! they smell like pine cleaner and lemons!

Thanks, il be updating this journal tonight when lights come one.

The Jack is growing slow but the rest of my clones are getting nice and big - its a shame my flower room is so small. The BD are looking amazing, huge fat white hairs and an intense looking cola on my BD#1. cant wait to show it

thanks the BD looks awesome! im really impressed by how its growing a more circular cola rather than the small ones on my skunk #1.
