New grower always open to suggestions.

Hey guy im a new grower just starting out. I'm starting out small using 1000 watt hps light in a 6 foot long 22inch wide room. Im trying Dinafem Cheese and Blue widow using DNF Chemicals. The seeds are germinating now day 2 popped a lil already all 6. For soil im using pro-mix bx. The one problem im seem to be having is my humidity is very low like 15% whats a good way to get it up would a digital humidfer work? Or is there a better easier way?

At least Dinafem sells good seed for good weed. They survive all kinds of maladies well. Love the Blue Widow and I have one in DWC.

Ya i got them in paper towel going to plant them a day or 2. Thanks thought that would work. I hear Cheese and blue widow are easy to grow and good for first timers.

Well take it from an old man. You'll lose far more sprouts using towels or water glasses than if simply drop them into a peat plug or a rockwool cube. Less work - better results. There is ZERO advantage to germinating outside the grow medium unless you plan on eating the sprouts.

Dinafem White Widow Auto is the ONLY auto I have grown in tests that I would grow again. In AK we cannot grow photos outdoors. 3 weeks after 12/12 hits us a hard freeze hits us. That WWA ia superb in growing and yield.

Ya eh ok makes sense good thing i only started 6 just wanted to see how it goes. Next time i will use rockwool forsure. So dinafem is a good seed company?

You can raise humidity with a humidifier. Other ways are to put a shallow tray with a layer of gravel and fill with water almost to the top of gravel. Soak a towel with water and hang it in there works really well also.

Amen brother. I still see not one advantage to sprouting in paper towels then fukkin around with a plant at it's most delicate and vulnerable point in life. Never ever understood why anyone would do this. Totally unnecessary. The only reason I can imagine is if you had some old seed and needed to test for viability. Then I would be looking at them every 2 hours and as soon as I saw a shell crack I'd stick them into soil, before the radical emerged.

i beg to differ. iv had similar success with paper towel vs soil
but get far better results germinating in a glass of distilled water since its sink or swim it kinda forces them to crack.
it takes on average of two days to sprout either way your going to want to get rid of the weakest plants

Ya thats the only way i ever done it is from paper towel when i was a teenager lol so why i did it that way so its cracked today just a lil should i put plant now then or wait a day or 2 its only been soaking for 2 days now.
