new grower with home-made grow cab

hey everyone! I'm a grow nexbie and I recently converted an old broken mini fridge into a grow cab.I have done alot of research online about this but can't seem to decide how to fix this problem. measurements are 28" tall 17" wide and 17" deep. on the bottom i cut a passive intake hole (~6"x6") and up top i have a small AC fan secured (about as big as a computer fan but i got it at a hydroponics store). for some reason i cant seem to keep the temperature below 80 degrees F without leaving the door open. should i have an intake fan where the passive intake hole is or should i just add another exhaust fan up top and keep the intake passive? i have 3 40W cfls mounted on top inside for 2 plants i have started from some ok bagseed. pictures to come once i get them on the computer. I am not expecting a huge yield, this is just more of an experimental grow in hopes i can maybe get an ok mother plant to clone. thanks for the help!:bigjoint:

Def going to have to add another fan and another intake hole. Make sure to use a filter on the intake holes to keep the critters out!

is the broken mini fridge inside or outide?make sure you have good air flow but in my opinion i think 80 degrees is ok.my plants outside are in the direct hot ass sunlight and temps get about 90+ here.

the cab is inside in the closet in my room. The plants seem to be growing ok but I just started them about 2 weeks ago.

if you have centeral air the temp out side the fridge should be at least2-3 degrees colder than in the fridge so you wanna make sure you have plenty of coldere air goin in

pumping the hot air out with a fan at the top of your cabinet with another identical size fan pumping air in at the bottom on the other side of your cabinet is the ultimate "ideal" setup to get a proper & more managable temp in your cab. 75 degrees is ideal, but ya, 80 degrees is nothing to worry about. From what I heard you can actually expect faster vegetative growth, but the nodes will stretch slightly more the warmer of a climate they are grown in. 75 will help you achieve the densest nugs. I'm sure they're happy tho so again, don't worry. Just be very aware of how they react over time to your setup, and continue to make adjustments accordingly.

Good luck man!

Maybe try using the small AC fan on the bottom intake hole , and a normal fan for the outtake.
Run the AC fan higher than the exhause fan , so that the cold air doesnt flow as fast
May reduce your heat?
