New here but have been growing a year or so

Hi all

I am new here but I have been doing this for about 16 months. I got a script 2 years ago.

I also see the new frontier in Canada and have the luxury of affording various lights.

Currently running a 315 CMH which i believe is the best bang for the buck in existance


I also have a 550 watt MCOB fixture that fits a 4 x 4

A 2 cob light from timber that will fit my 36 x 20 x 62 inch tent (indica in there for sure).

And I have a mars reflector i never use. I am going to sell that light soon. The reflector 48 was my first success I grew 3 oz with that light. OMG I needed a bigger light.

My plan is to have a veg tent for 2 and a grow tent for 2. I will stick to the 4 plant limit because that is the future of where I live. And I got 7 oz from a white widow and 7 oz from 2 sour kush using the 315 CMH. I passed the 1 gram per watt threshold with that light.

I see a lot of COB vs CMH but I can honestly say they both work good but the CMH is cheaper. :D

I love growing. I started to get my wife through her chemo and I love growing. So I kept going and got my own script after she died. I want no sympathy I have been blessed with a new lady and life is good.

The simplicity and complexity of growing kept my mind off of driving into oncoming traffic. Weed is good. The weed I grow is great. I am happy to share with my friends.

Glad you're here. I've been a member for about 4 years.. only been using this screen name for a year or so though. I'm sure you'll meet a lot of good people on this site as well as find lots of useful information.
Is the CMH comparable to a 600w HID? I've been thinking about switching over.

I have only every grown LED. Started with a 100 watt mars reflector went to a 550 watt MCOB and back to a 315 CMH. I just know the 315 does more personal than I can use.

This is week 5 (current). I should have run the aquarium pump in the reservoir sooner but we started again today. All plants are kush based (short)
GH hydro nutes at drain to waste levels in a 13 gallon reservoir with autopots.

The greenest one is a cheese the other two are white rhino. This grow was plagued with my overconfidence and lack of taking care of business. That will never repeat.

But even when you really screw it up you can bring it back in line and produce flowers that will rival where you used to get it from (in my experience). When I was delarfing this morning I ended up like griswald with the tree sap in Christmas Vacation. I had to shower before I left the house.

Next round I am running 1 of each (trainwreck, jack herer, sour diesel) I will document it in a grow log here.
