Good morning folks,

I was looking for a forum as I am starting a new grow. I came across rollitup and here I am. Last time I grew was probably about 15-20 years ago, so it's been awhile. Those grows were in a tin foil lined closet with 48" florescent bulbs. The seeds I used were from the bud I bought to smoke and just saved.

I decided to buy some auto flower seeds to start with this time around since finding seeds in your bud these days is not very common...Lol. I'll be getting some photo seeds after these grows are completed. I purchased 5 Bruce Banner Auto seeds and then received 2 Northern Light Auto seeds with them for free.

My first seed germination was planted directly in soil and after three weeks and no sprout I dug it up and it was just an empty husk. I started again with seed #2 and soaked it in water for 12 hours until I saw it crack open. Then placed it in the soil and waited another week and nothing still. Now on to seed 3 which I used the paper towel method on and within three days I had a viable root. At this time I popped it in the soil (about 1/4" from the surface). It sprouted two days later with my lighting (Veg only) on it at a rate of 18/6 and average temperature of 75°F and RH of 65%.

This stayed the same until the first week was over and I switched my lights to Veg and Bloom during the start of week two. I then realized my grow tent was getting too hot at times. It was pushing 90°F during the afternoon. I moved the plant and tent setup into my lower level where it stays much cooler and have since been maintaining a temp of around 78°F.

A couple days into week 2 I did water with Fox farms 'Grow Big' and 'Big Bloom' at a rate of 5ml for a quarter gallon of water followed by 3/4 gallon of water until I got some run off. This is about 1/2 the recommended dose IIRC. After watering (PH is at 6.5), I realized that my pot is way too big for the plant right now and the amount of water I added was the same. It is still drying out well but I'll have to watch the water closer when I water/flush next. I've also adjusted my lighting to a 24/0 (Veg and Bloom) schedule at a height of 23" from the top of the plant. So that leads us up to today, that plant looks well but is short and squatty and not as leggy as others I have seen while browsing. There was also some light browning in spots after my first big water and feeding but it hasn't spread to any of the new growth this far.

My current setup is as follows:

32" x 32" x 63" Grow tent.
A 2000W Full Spectrum LED (Drawing 190W Veg only, 200W Bloom only and 390W Veg/Bloom together).
Pot size is equal to 5gl
Soil is a mix of: Sphagnum Peat Moss, Perlite, Dolomitic Limestone and Calcitic Limestone
2 6" multi speed clip fans
1 48" tall oscillating multi speed fan
Kasa smart plugs for automation of lights and fans
Moisture, PH and Light meter
Digital thermometer and RH reader
Fox Farm Trio for nutes/feedings

The images attached are from the day of the root breaking out to today which is day 14 of this grow. Any feedback or constructive criticism is appreciated. I'm still getting my feet wet in this hobby again and there is a lot of new things to learn and take in when compared to 15-20 years ago...Lol.

Thanks for reading :mrgreen::leaf:
