Hi guys, New member here and looking to start a new grow. Only did two previous grows many years ago in DIY 5gal DWC buckets. The results were mixed at best and I made pretty much every mistake you can expect a newbie to make. I am now a medical patient and want to grow my own medicine so I need to do it right this time. My plans are currently as follows:
48x48x80 tent
630 cmh light
6" filter / online fan
4 or 6 5gal Bubbler style DWC buckets with 6" or 8" net pots
Undecided on brand / line of mutes
For simplicity and to make it easier as I'm learning the proper way to grow I thought I would start with Auto's.
I tend to jump in heavily and start overly large so I'm trying to keep it as simple and inexpensive as possible without a lot of extra needed equipment for now.
Tent will be placed in the basement that has cool ambient temperature of 60°F 24/7- 365. I think I'm going to have more of a problem keeping the temperatures up rather than down. I'm hoping the light will bring up the tent internal temperature into the mid 70s, but the hours with the lights off I may have to add a heater. I wonder if I might be better to have the tent normally sealed and the exhaust fan only come on if the temp rises over 75 or whatever would be best temp to set out vs. running all the time to try to keep in? I'm guessing I'm not gonna know the best way until I get it up and running and see what actual temps are inside the tent.
Any advice is greatly appreciated on any aspect of my idea. My budget is as minimal as possible so trying not to make too many mistakes starting out I have to replace the equipment later on because of mistakes now
Thanks!
