New Outdoor Grower in SoCal

Hey guys!

I'm a new grower and I decided to use the space behind my garage between the wall and the 8ft tall wooden fence...there's about 6 feet between and I'm using 1 side of it for an outdoor grow, 3x2 in terms of plants and probably dug down 4ft by 2ft in soil. We're expecting the rainiest storm of the year tonight so I quickly put nutrients in the dried out, DEAD AND ROCK HARD soil after twisting and turning with a tool, shoveling after it was loosened and making the hole, then putting some miracle gro stuff about 1ft under and then added some soil back I had dug up from the deep with white mineral nuggies in them :) not sure what else to call them! Anyways now there's about an 8 inch hole in the ground of meh soil so I decided to use our fertilizer that has eggshells and crap in it for years and put a layer of that over it, now it's about 6 inches deep and here I am posting :) Expecting the rain to make the ground ready for soil and plants. I am assembling something of a shopping list for my outdoor grow, because I don't have nearly any of the stuff necessary. I'm basically limited to home depot in terms of things I can buy for my grow except for a few different shops around LA that sell the actual clones :)

I so far had bought 14 seeds from a dispensary I go to and they were $25 and not feminized....I put 7 in paper towel and a bag for the ol' dark germination and the other 7 in some soil in 2 pots with no drain holes, soil, nutrients put in it, drained completely and then made wet again. 7 Seeds planted and kept under a room lamp for 24 hours before I drained them again and put them in my dark closet with the other germinating seeds....including a paper towel germination of some bagseed (2x Blue Knight some topshelf indica)

But I don't want to bank on the germination of these seeds to grow. The 14 seeds germinating right now are supposedly Tahoe OGK BX3 and take about 9 weeks to flower with a good but not the best yield, but the OG makes it a dank bud.

I am basically asking for any advice around this time of the year in growing outdoors... I'm looking at progressive options in the SFV for clones as well as http://thcplant.com in Los Angeles, Cloneville in Hollywood, Clone Queens in Venice/Los Angeles...so far Progressive Options or THCPlant look the best to me. I want to buy maybe 5 or 12 plants....I know they sell them for 8 or 12 each (8 at thcplant and 8-12 at progressive options) and want some advice on strains in the current weather. It's almost march now and socal is having great weather as always, I need the be able to harvest and cure these by September because i'm going to school then, hopefully with a jar full of butane wax and another with buds.

So regarding the places I listed, any experience? Or strains, any advice? Indica/Sativa/Hybrid? Stay with OG's? Grow from the seeds (only available at dispensaries not buying online) or clones (same deal) and lastly my shopping list :)

Here's what I've got so far, home depot limited:
1. Blood/bone meal
2. Worm castings
3. Good brand of soil to fill the massive space...probably 2x4 cubic feet needs to be made.

70 parts soil 15 parts blood/bone 15 parts worm castings - pile the soil around the stalk up to the bottom set of leaves. continue to do this as the plant grows to avoid soil compacting.****

3. Fish Emulsion Bottle w/tons of Nitrogen for the Vegg stage (and blood.bone meal)
4. Dolomite Lime for pH or other pH Monitors

****This is my plan for a few days after transplanting the clones to the ground...seeds need to be put into a pot and rooted and whatever so I'd like to prefer discussing clones. Any better options? I'm not sure I can get these SPECIFIC items at my local home depot, I might need to get some other suggestions so please let me hear them, I know peat is a good one but I don't know if it's available locally.

So what other nutrients or brands or soils or fertilizers do you guys suggest for an OUTDOOR GROW with the clones being transplanted hopefully within 1 OR 2 WEEKS AT THE LATEST!

Thanks for the help, I've been reading so much that I have decided on something I think is easy enough for me to do and maintain but want some advice. Thanks!

You put way to much effort in germinating. Your pots should have holes . Your clones are gonna flower the minute you put them out. You need longer to cook the soil off . You won't be done by September except for your clones that went into flower to early. Your nutrients sound good. Don't get caught with wax.

Thanks for the advice but how do you say I grow from seeds? If they won't be ready in september than screw getting more, clones is where I'm at. Do I need autoflowering genetics? I really don't want to get them....I just want to get some solid OG's and a sativa or two from Progressive Options. This is what I'm working with right now.

BAGSEED! This mofo flourished man look at the size of that damn root from only 48hr of germination, the tahoe needs 72 minimum.

Soil for Germ. Seeds Tahoe OGK x1.jpg
Potting mix I transferred germinating seeds into once the root emerged, for root building and whatnot.

Lastly the only nutrient besides water I added to my soil and it provides nitrogen potassium and something else :P....the soil was pretty dry and nutrient and mineral-free so I had to as you can see way above, tull around the dirt and flip it all around to loosen it, add water and do it again while I'm digging and then layer soil on top of it to form a nice patch.

What kind of soil should I get? What about EVERYTHING else I will need in every stage?

If you could put out 2-3 footers now they will finish by May . Anything put out after that Will vegg until August and g into flower and harvest in October. Best thing is if PO has some teens or moms for you to put out or check craigslist.
