While the majority of RIU is oriented toward cannabis, I like that there is an area for other than cannabis discussions. I'm looking for advice from my fellow muscle car stoners. These are my first rebuilds and one was interrupted during the re-wiring (these were bought from my son's, teacher's, father's estate). I'm presently in the assessment Stage finding out quite a bit about my new rides. All three were "field finds" so they've been exposed to the elements and are needing severe to extreme TLC. They are, a 1970(blueish), 1970(whitish), and a 1972(two tone), Chevy El Caminos!

If you restore those you'll be sitting on serious dinero; good luck. What are the motors?

My dad had a '70 SS like that blue one. Run #'s and then soda blast everything. Cool cars. I had a '77 GMC sprint for a short time.
I know where one is that I couldn't get the guy to let go of, even though there is a tree growing through the bed. I had a 77 el Camino back in '99 when I met my wife. 20 years later three of them land in our laps at a price I couldn't say "No" to.

These are much cooler than a late '70's imo

I have my FJ-40 to get running and out of here, and two classic Triumph motorcycles that need attention, plus all the shit that needs done around the house. I just want to get to the point where I can play with the plants and chill.
Hub pulled the engine on the '94 Honda Accord. I want it gone. He wants my '89 Ford Probe gone.

Their basically chevelles with the back half a box.Good for parting out to get cash flow going.
Hell no I'm not parting them out! These diamonds are getting polished!
My wife agrees all they need is a lot of TLC... Tender Love & Cash!

I have two reasons to get the Toy running, #1 is I can get a better price for it if it is running at least, and B it is in the garage where my flower room is and I'm not going to invite strangers into that garage. At least if it is running I can move it to the other garage also. Edit: IF it will fit under the door...lol.

Chevelle parts are much easier to get. Not worth it unless it's totally swiss cheese. I have catalogs full of parts for them somewhere in my shop. I'll keep my eye out.

With a roadkill type attitude you can get them running and flip them.

I wouldn't do that yet till he knows he can put one together for himself. Sounds like he wants one and the wife is cool with it. Then clean house of crap you don't need. Some stuff just can't be found.
