New Seedlings

Hi Everyone

I am not a newbie , however i am no expert especially when it comes to seedlings. I was fortuntae enough to get Amazing cuttings before which i was able to transplant into my preffered medium (Aquafarm) easily enough.

My last attempt with seeds was a disater as they streched and in the end my baby turned into a behomoth (Blueberry) which even after topping grew to at least 5 1/2 feet , in the end it was messy. The first seedlings streched as i was away that weekend and left them alone with a small light which they streched to buggery.

This time i have sensi star (my favourite) and i have kept a close eye on them

see pic please.
They sprouted through the rockwool 5 days ago , i transplanted them into bigger rockwool cubes 2 days ago and the roots are starting to now show through.

They are currently under a 400 watt light at about a foot away so they are not burning etc.

I am worried that they are going to stretch further.

When should i feed my seedlings with a weak feed say 1/4 strenght perhaps.

I am using IONIC grow bloom and boost for this grow
I will be choosing the strongest seedling once i am ready , prob give the other to a friend as i dont want to overcrowd the farm. I also invested in some bendz incase i need to train this beast as it grows in the farm. i did read an intresting article on training it round my farm perhaps in a circle but think i may just grow and top once so it does not grow huge i also have a bigger tent this time 1 m2 by 2m height , just incase.

Any tips on feeding, training etc greatly appreciated

Thanks

Santa

Looks healthy so far. Maybe try to fill in those gaps a little in the rockwool so the light doesnt reach into the roots. I'm currently learning about rockwool and am a first time grower. I have had A TON of great advice given on my journal......and you will see you'll probably end up with similar questions. I hope this helps....read most of my thread..there are LOTS of details :)

What size rockwool is that?

They look alright so far, a little stretched like you said, but otherwise fine.

Feed when they have 2-3 nodes and like you said, 1/4 strength and work up.

Get the light as close as reasonably possible - as a rule of thumb, put your hand at the level of the top of the plants. Bring the light down until you can comfortably keep your hand there without it feeling too hot.

Unless you have feminised seeds, I wouldn't give seedlings away. Yeah it's good to share the joy but it could backfire, leaving you with a male.

If you have the space, keep the plants. You can clone from the best woman and end up with lots of identical, potent and fast maturing clones.

Good luck, I've always wanted to try sensi star.
