If you want your plants to "explode" with growth they need more things. A higher power light is one of the things. Cfls, do not give you explosive growth. Leds, in my expirience with middle of the road leds, grow short squat plants. So neither of your lights scream explosive growth.
Also pot size. Autos are very sensitive, and when a plant finds the edge of the world (aka the inside of your container), they stop getting bigger and wider sometimes. I say plants are smart sometimes and I believe it. If the plant grew too big for its root system, it could blow over. So a smart plant only grows to what its roots can support.
Last thing is genetics, its also the most important one. I grew out some mephisto gear and all of the strain only grew a foot tall. Five plants, one foot each.

Im most certainly a beginner at Autos & tents but what i have learnt is, the veg period is very important, any set backs in this stage determine end results , good lights are essential , as well as genetics
Alienwidow , made the point about pots & roots stopping , im lead to believe Airpots are a huge help in this department
There was a guy , known as the King , who pulled over 2 pound from 1 Auto (Autoultimate) dry, so it can be done , but as im finding out , with a lot of help from an experienced grower, you have to be right up with it
I started a thread , called .............Auto's can they deliver, a while ago, check it out theres heaps of good imfo on there

Yeah they have not reached the end of pot tho and what i have seen led grow autos very well i have seen some 18 inches tall and mine is a 250 watt the led was not cheap i pay almost 300 for it and the cfl are just added light bring total 310 watts witch in my case for 2 plant is pretty good i mean its no 400 watt hps but i didnt wanna keep paying 200 buck electric bill

Welp jusy found this here last night i noticed brown spot on my leaves all over my bottom 2 sets leafes these autos have been giveing me nothing but trouble what do u guys think this is i have never seen this befor and yes soil is wet i just watered them when they woak up its been for days since i watered also ph is 7.2 and run off 6.8 just started useing veg feeding 1/4 strengh looks like light burn dont it ? Also no bugs i check every day with scope

Found out i had the claw nitrogen toxcity so i gave them a good flushing hope it well help it all makes since slow growth dropping leaves claw figure as u see in my pics also dark green leaves witch is wired cuz i just started nitrogen feedings but the dark bown spot are also from that it all makes since my soil probly as enough npk for now so i wont feed untill flower now

I just finished my first ever grow. 2 autos under a 300w led. I think your plants just need more room. After i transplanted mine into the 5 gallons they blew up and grew over 2 feet. I watered every 4 days as well.
How much water do you give them every 4 days? Also how much run off do you end up with?
