im pissed off, i cant get these clones to root???
i have a great uk cheese mother plant that hasn't had the best start since being turned into a mother from some clones i was gifted from a friend
lets talk you guys through what ive done so far..
first off, i keep my new mother in a 2L pot of biobizz light mix soil, under 250w cfl
the grow space was way to small for a 250w cfl but thats all i have to work with
i gave the soil a feed of (ionic grow) every 3rd watering after skipping days inbetween at a 1/4 strength
after the mother plant has been in this small space in the 2L pot i transplanted her to a 5L pot and continued the same feeding but ' as she grew over the next 4 weeks she started getting stressed,
stiff stems with purple stripes everywhere including brown spots at the tips of the leaves accompanied with yellowing also?
grow chamber is 50x45x90cm
pot size is 5L
soil is biobizz light mix
treated the soil with MYCOS mycorrhizal & a spoon of plant sucsess great white
water with tap water 200ppm giving me 500ppm
using IONIC grow at 1/4 strength
ph 6.4
9weeks from being cloned
i moved her to a 60x60x140cm grow tent and transplanted to a 12L pot topped off with more biobizz soil.
she is drying out every other day and always hungry, if i water only tap water she starts getting stressed.
the leaf is small, stems are stiff with purple stems and she is 100% rootbound.
in a desperate attempt to keep this great plant going i took several clones, 8 infact.
MY CLONING TECHNIQUE
i used a sharp sterile scalpel to cut the clones trimmed off all the nodes and leaves ' then made a 45 degree cut just below a node set, clones are 5" tall.
i must say that ' the branches were all stiff as hell when i took the clones and ' im not sure if thats going to be a problem straight out the blocks?
once i had 8 clones i dipped them in CLONEX GEL and inserted them into some 'pre soaked root riot cubes and off they went into a heated propagator with high humidity 95% and 75f temps
i removed the dome after 3 days and filled the bottom 1/4 inch of the propagator with the same feed ive been giving my mother 500ppm IONIC grow
i sprayed the clones with RO water once pre day and give them 18hours of light aswell as my mother plant in the same tent
clones are 6 days from being cut and seem ok apart from not rooting lol.
i would really appreciate some help with this issue im having as a noob to talking clones from a doner plant and also taking care of the mothers.
