newbie light question.

so ive posted a couple of times about my plants and the leaves changing colors and such, it was overwatering i transplanted them into bigger homes, i think they might be a little to big but thats okay. but anyways im at day 8 of my first grow now and they are streching and still only have the first set of leaves coming out. i wasent really using alot of light before just a regular 60w light bulb in my closet, i went out last night and i bought a flourescent light set with 2 long bulbs on it they regular 40w flours. i only want to get them going for about two more weeks until i can keep them outside, its getting very nice and the transplant is near but im scared my babes wont make it. is it okay to be using the reg. flours bulbs until i plant outside? i have to be kinda descreet in the house right now my wife dont like it. is theyre anything around the house i could use to help my plants out light wise?

keep those fluorescent fixtures as close as you can to the top of your plant(s). you could also get some cfl's (the curly bulb fluorescents) and pop them into the sockets and just increase the overall amount of light bouncing around in the closet. if you're worried about your plant(s) holding up to the outdoors, put a fan that blows on them, it will help to build the strength of your plants stems
