Nirvana lowryder deisel, 400 mh/hps light, and my closet

This is my second grow from seed, but my first one was with bag seed and a lot of inexperience. I'm glad I didn't waste my money by using good seeds. None the less I've got 2 plants a few weeks away from flowering, and planned on flowering them to see if there were any females in there before I germinated my seeds. currently I keep the door open, and have them on a 18/6 timer with a fan blowing into the closet. they are in fox farm ocean forest soil, but i started them in jiffy pellets and transplanted to jiffy pots. I still have a few questions. Can I germinate the seeds, transplant them into rock wool cubes and transplant them into fox farm ocean forest soil? I'm also trying to grow tomatoes and peppers hydroponically in a D.W.C. as practice. Can I use the same nute, Botanicare pure blend progrow, for the soil? How often and when should I start with nutes. The ones growing currently have had none, except for the brief time spent in mg soil. During the Flower stage I planned on switching to the probloom and cal-mag. Here are some pics of them while in the mg soil a few weeks ago, and what they have recovered to look like now. the pH is around 7.
