Nirvana Seeds: very inconsistent in my experience

So, it's my first grow. I ordered Nirvana Northern Lights the first time and killed all but two of them due to lack of experience/knowledge. So I ordered some more of the same seeds, and they are doing well, but the plants are COMPLETELY different from the first ones. The two that lived from the first batch were very broad leaves and compact. They are also extremely smelly in veg. I picked that strain bcause it was supposed to not smell... anyways the second batch from Nirvana was completely different , really long, skinny leaves, and no smell at all. I don't get it.

Although they could be screwing with you, it could also be something you did. I've had plants grow with small fan leaves and thought that was the way they were supposed to look, then got my shit together and they grew totally different, having nice big fan leaves and looking totally different. They didn't even look like the same strain, and that was very noticeable in veg, after I switched to better lights. It's amazing what having sufficient lighting can do, as well as having a grow without any deficincies/problems. They can really change the look of a plant, as well as drastically changing the yield and potency. :)

To expect stabilized genetics when you pay such a high price for them is acceptable in my opinion. Unfortunately - most of these breeders have 0 quality control.

Think of the good things - you found out the truth from cheaper seeds than if you would of followed the feminized "ANYTHING kush" trend.

I had the same experience with Nirvana, Shortrider plants grow from the packet didn't even look similar. They were all germed at the same time and grown the same way.

the one thing i know is that you cant always point your finger at the seed banks. you have to know that these are plants we are dealing with, not nike shoe's they all can be the same.plus if your a new grower then you dont really know if it has something to do with how you are growing them.we could grow the same plant and both will come out different.i would not give up on them just yet.hella nirvana seed bank has been around for ever.and if they had bad seeds or bad stuff they would not be around today. why dont you give them a call and ask them about it.just be nice and maybe you can learn something cool. its not like they did not open.
HAPPY GROWING.I HOPE THINGS GET BETTER FOR YOU.

I grew 8 of their blue mystics, every single one of them grew differently.
Grew 2 of their Papayas that grew pretty similar.

I wouldn't consider them consistent, but never had any hermi issue or seeds that didn't sprout. They were pretty cheap compared to the outcome and I've enjoyed them a lot.

However, the potency and tollerance buildup was a bummer (pretty much the only bummer - my plants grew very well, yielded very nicely, smelt nice and all) so I'm ain't keeping them in my cycle anymore.

I have some seeds from nirvana at the minute and some from green house - the genetics of all nirvanas seeds are good and sturdy but i think its down to the growing enviroment - no 2 plants will ever be the same regardless of the mother or strain etc - each plant has individual characteristics and its naive to think they will al grow the same way, shape, form - as long as there females its down to the grower to dictate the outcome of a grow!
Big yield, nice weed, nice grow - thats all its about

Its all bout using cuttings or using feminized seeds - i wudnt even waste my time using normal seeds and having to chop a blokes balls off - i like to stay away from balls just like i do in life

its all about the puss puss :)

all the best with the grow

Remember seeds are just that...seeds NOT clones.

I think by the "kush" comment he meant that anything "Feminized kush" right now is a bit pricier than it should be just cuz of the name. Like "chuck Taylors" compared to "The fugly shoes my mom was forced to wear in the early 80s"
