Nirvana versus Attitude - My Story - FYI

So - let me just state from the beginning - I'm not here to "bad-mouth" anyone or any company - just here to tell my story - because people have helped me - it's the least I can do.



So - my first ever attempt at buying seeds went to Nirvana - mostly because They were highly reccomended here on this site.

(over) Two months ago - on Feb 28th, I ordered some White Rhino - one of my favorite strains



After three weeks, I was worried - mostly because it was my first time ordering seeds, and I had no idea if it was even possible to get seeds mailed to my state.

So I posted a message on this board venting my fears and worries.



A few poeple told me I was being overly nervous and I should be paitent

So I said "ok..." and waited.

I put in a "ticket" into "Alice" (customer support) at Nirvana...she told me to basically ... be paitient.



However - before I was even able to post a message to customer support - I tried to look up my order # (from my invoice) and there was in fact, no record of my order - or my account (created to place the order in the first place)

SO in my message - I mentioned that I couldn't find any record on their site of my order that I placed, or even my account I created at all...and well...WTF?



I was informed that just after I placed my order - that they (just my luck) had changed their "shopping cart" system; and that I would have to re-create an account to log into, and whatnot.

(Basically, start over)


However, I was also told that there WAS a record of my order - and it was shipped out March 4th (placed Feb 28th)



Anywho...I waited....what else could I do ...order more seeds?

(Well....actually.....yeah....)

So I did that.

But not with Nirvana....



Earlier in an alltogether separate post - I asked the board where I could find "Lavender / Soma" seeds, because I had found one site that had them - but they wouldn't ship to my State, if even to the States at all.

I was reccomended "The Attitude" emphatically - and was given their praises.



SO - (long story even longer- bare with me) - after my first order didn't arrive from Nirvana after five weeks, "Alice" told me that she would ship out a second order - which was "something rarely done"

And I was told to "cross my fingers"

I gave thanks profusely for the attention and effort, as well the gesture of a second order - - and well...crossed my fingers....



However - at that same time, I decided (since I didn't know what else to think much less do - and I really needed seeds) to order some Hindu Kush from "The Attitude"

(I picked that strain because it was close to what I wanted (a dense Indica) , and was well...cheap (relatively speaking, as far as seeds go... )

Point to that was - If I was going to loose money again, I didn't want it to be a lot....



Well...I'm happy to announce (finally) that not only did my seeds arrive (from The Attitude) in less than TWO WEEKS - I should let all know that when I ordered my HK from them, they also threw in some Thai Skunk as a "gift" FOR FREE (IE - awesome!)


As well (and for me - equally important) they also offered TRACKING !!!!

Something Nirvana doesn't......or rather won't....

They say they couldn't, or can't .....but....obviously they could...'cause The Attitude in fact - does, did, and it worked too....



So....here it is over two months since my first order....(from Nirvana) and over a month since I was told out a replacement order would be shipped out.

Despite receiving very nice customer service from "Alice" - alas....I have no seeds from Nirvana.....wah.....



BUT -

All of my seeds (repeat...) ALL OF MY SEEDS - that I ordered from The Attitude (not only arrived, but...) sprouted .....

And even though they are itty bitty babies at this writing ....they are growing fast and looking good....

(especially - the HK - which was my reason for ordering in the first place - the TS are but a lovely bonus)




SO what's the moral of the story?

Of course, there is none.


Again - I'm not here to bad-mouth or play tattle tale....truly not.

Great customer service notwithstanding - my goal is and was - to get seeds.

Not to loose sleep - much less....MONEY (ahem...which in fact...I did)


Period.



I just thought - for the interest of all those concerened - well...I'd post my story.

thanks for sharing .....Ive ordered from nirvana and received seeds...albeit very long time to arrive...only other place Ive ordered from has been wwms and they like Attitude arrived relativity fast....will definately consider using 'Attitude' next time

Sh*t really? i wanted some seeds from them. just one thought the blackberry and full moon looked nice.
i love the attitude.

yeah the tude kicks ass. i got a free purple lady from them thats doing lovely. im wondering if all those free "G13 LABS" seeds actually grow good weed though, does ANYONE have info on their buds?

and i got my seeds from attitude in less than a week :D

sounds to me like you had a run of bad luck with nirvana all be it it took 2 weeks for my order to be shipped after being placed, but from my understanding it takes that long because of all the measures they go through for "stealth" shipping. Once my package was shipped it arrived to me in the U.S within 3 buisness days

For as long as there has been sites like this and online seedbanks I have never read about or were told from friends as many horror stories about any seedbank as Nirvana. For YEARS people have complained about non-shipment, claimed shipments that magically or mystically vanished. Poor genetics is another very common complaint.
 
I know some people have had luck with Nirvana and swear by them but when you look at the massive number of complaints over the many years I very much have to question why anyone would ever take the risk of dealing with Nirvana when there are a number of very good very reliable very professional seedbanks to pick from.
 
As for Attitude throwing in some free beans, they always do. The free pack of five G13 Labs Thai Super Skunk beans has recently been replaced with one feminized bean from G13 Labs, a Blue Venom, which is basically G13 Labs version of Blue Widow in that it is a Blueberry – White Widow cross. The one free feminized G13 Labs Super Skunk bean that was the next bean given for orders that cost slightly more has been replaced by a feminized G13 Labs Pure Gold. Then as orders increase in dollar/pound amount in addition you receive one feminized Super Skunk, one feminized White Widow and one feminized Pure Power, all of course G13 Labs gear.
 
Free beans is just part of what Attitude does and they change what they give now and then.

Yeah thats some bad luck, I also ordered white rhino seeds from nirvana, my first time ever, and they were very fast, very discrete, and nice seeds.... so far at least, all have sprouted. But I am going to order off attitude next just because they have more to choose from, and the mix and match option as well.

I've used Nirvana for a while and have never, ever had a problem. My only grief is their shipping takes 1-2 weeks longer than anyone else. I have had good luck with dope-seeds.com and got my colombain red haze (10 pack) as freebees. I planted 4 and all were female!! I still have 6 left and I cant wait to start them up again.

My free Skunks are doing great.

And yeah Attitude is a really good company, the only company I will ever order from again.

I also got good service from attitude, BUT the seeds I ordered were kc brains northern lights special and they sucked. I ordered 10 got 11 and was pumped, 4 out of 11 germed. I did get the 5 free g13 thai skunk seeds and 5 out of 5 germinated, the gift was better than the order.. since then I have heard nothing but bad from kc brains beans, usually I get greenhouse seeds.. with greenhouse I have never had a seed not germinate, a great company imo.. Has anyone used seedmadness? I just placed an order with them.

Hi Folks! I’m a newbie still learning. Ordered from Nirvana earlier this year – no problems, the PPP was mediocre but it may well have been my inexperience. Recent order arrived without seeds. The corner of the package was lifted. They said the shipment of 8/24 was seized by Homeland Security. They said normally it’s “just too bad – your loss”; but they would resend the order again. After reading all the negative stuff about them I’m not planning on holding my breath. If I should get a replacement I’ll post –should know in 2-3 weeks. I recently read somewhere that the original company lost their domain name and these guys snapped it up not too long ago, hence the “new” web site. I have no idea if it’s true. In the mean time I’m placing an order with The Attitude.
 
I also had a great experience with Additude. 5 days for arrival of DVD. Freebies. Beans cracked after 12 hours in water - SHOCK! . Waiting for the newsletter then I am cracking another order. These guys ROCK!

That is enough for me to NEVER order from them. They are on the radar now.
RIU should remove them from their top recomended and replace them with Attitude!

ok...well considering you have one more post then him.hmm with no activity, well i'll just put it like this .. all he was doing was stating that his recent order to nirvana was tampered with .. and stating that he thinks that he got ripped ...wether ignorant people like yourself.. care to listen to him .. and head his words and be weary about the whole situation .. buying/selling seeds overseas is risky enuf... why is that not fathomable, that it could have happened... since i have been here ( just under 1-2 months) i have read 6 or more random posts from people saying that nirvana sent empty packages. sooo, 6 or more bad reports in 1-2 months.. well my opinion .. i wouldnt' buy from them.. lol sounds like you could be working for nirvana not him...

what he did is fake like his pack got seized, then proceeded to give us a spiel how nirvana usually doesnt resend the packs but out of the kindness of their heart they made an exception for him...yawn.
