seems to me if the 'hair covering' rule were widespread enforced there'd be emergency hair coverings available as a back-up in case you forgot yours.

the ref was a dick; the optics of a white women shearing a black man was emasculating.

the kid was dignified; grace under pressure and went on to win.

i hope he and the ACLU sues the shit out of them.

Well why the fuck did this happen? Where were the other coaches? I just don’t get why it was allowed to actually take place and not stopped by all involved. Or just everyone sit out the tournament. Also I think I read the kid had a hair net. I’ve been really good the last few years and haven’t gotten into trouble for beating up assholes (hear that Santa) but ya I think my “743 days fight free” would have ended at that tournament :(.

Just when you think you've seen it all. holy shit I feel sorry for the person who stepped into the ring with him after that.
How many people sat there and did nothing while this poor lad was humiliated like some Prisoner in state lock up.
Those involved should never work with Children ever again, They should have to register as Child abusers period.

Too bad he actually cut his hair. I wouldnt cut my hair for my job. Black people got shit about their hair since forever. This kids gonna regret this for awhile. Too bad.
