this is why this site is amazing

so i have a homemade grow box and in it is a 4 week old plant and there was a plant that would be 2 weeks old now.

about a week ago when the younger plant was about 1 week old i noticed that its cotyledons were dying. i was like WTF why is my plant dying??!! so guess what i do? if you guessed that what i did was water it more, well you guessed right. i must have been fucking blazed when i was thinking this one through :eyesmoke:. well anyways after watering it the leaves of course were starting to droop. i got very discouraged and ended up taking it out of the box all together.

than about two days ago the cotyledons on the older one began to die. i started freaking the fuck out and began doing some researched on this specific "problem". well thanks to some research via RIU i learned that the cotyledons are indeed suppose to die lol.

long story short i killed a plant and i was about to start to give up on the other plant. but thanks to all the baddasses on RIU i have hope again! lol

thought a super noob story like this might make some of you more experienced growers laugh lol :blsmoke:

i dont really worry when my lower leafs die, even fan leafs. as long as new growth is ok im normaly not worryed unless its showing burn or a lack of somthing i correct it but i dont stress out ya know?

just stay calm when yor working with the plants and remember that doing alot of stuff at at one time is a sure fire way to kill a plant. try out 1 thing an give it a few days then try out another. things are not instantly fixed and it takes time to see results of your actions.

its not something i'd worry about if the plant is otherwise healthy but it starting to drop the baby leaves at a week old is not normal.
