i met a old school OG grower today and he sent me home him with a grand daddy purp clone in rock wool since i told him i had a bucketeer system that ive never used.

so my question is how should i put the clone in the grow rocks? should the rock wool be exposed? covered?

how high should the water be? should you be able to see the water when looking at the plant?

any answer will be great. thanks.:weed:

It looks too wet. Have the water level about an inch below the bottom of the cube, the position in the picture is fine, but you don't want to keep the cube wet. The roots will work they're way into the pellets.

Does the clone have roots? If it does then your okay to start feeding with nutes. I don't know for sure but I wouldn't recommend using soil nutes in hydro.

If its not too late I would put it in soil. Unless you can get a copy of that clone easily. Then clone it and grow the clone in hydro when there is no risk of loosing the DNA. Lots can go wrong.

the og grower has a bunch of clones and he said to try it in hydro and if it doesn't work to go see him (which i will ever way) and he will give me more clones. in his own words he said "mj is a beautiful plant, its a universal iteam that everyone know about and is someway or another related to everyone. all ill im tryin to do is make the world a betterplace on plant/person at a time."

You really shouldn't pull it out like that, you're going to stunt the growth. Thats what you want, just let it keep growing into the pebbles. Don't worry, if you dont kill it with kindness it will grow fast.

What do you mean visible? Do you mean hanging out the net pot? It seems that net pot is pretty big, it could take a while to see roots coming out of there and you may have to top feed till they do. Don't wet the rockwool, just water around it.

How high is the water level at the moment? Are the roots (not rockwool) getting wet? I didn't realize you were growing DWC at first, but I see now. If they're getting wet okay then don't worry about the roots, concentrate on whats happening with the plant.
