Northern Lights Auto stealth/closet grow. help & input appreciated

Hi there, first time Grow Journalist (lol), im making a grow journal for this because im a novice grower who is going to start using LED's and figure i could get some help/understanding with everything hopefully by doing this.

my set-up

(1) 90w UFO
(1) NL Autoflower
4 sq foot closet, hieght about 4 1/2 - 5 feet

ive had it confirmed by soomeone on here, that on paper, this would be a decent light for one plant, can anyone else say anything different? i know you're told to stay away from cheap ebay lights for the most part but my options are limited. If anyone feels this light is inferior for what my needs are, please suggest me to a different light, although my price ceiling is nearly met with this one.

I've only made it through one successful grow, attempted about 3 altogether (all closet stealth with CFL) my most recent grow was the success grow, and it was the only grow where i used a femanized seed i got off Attitude, a fem Green-o-Matic auto. the GOM yielded me about a quarter of decent dried buds(airy though), which to me was OK seeing as how lazy i got at times with everything (watering/lighting/heat issues)

I plan on being more on top of this grow, my last grow i had no expectation other than that i wanted it to produce bud(mission accomplished) With this grow though, im looking to hopefully increase my yeild a bit, nothing commercial obviously, but was hoping to see maybe an OZ off the plant...Is that too high of an expectation?


Sorry, i know thats alot of rambling, but i'm pretty novice to growing overall and a complete noob with LED's so all help and advice is much appreciated.

i popped my (1) NL Auto into a pot of soil about 2 days ago and have my CFL setup on standby until i get my LED

I will post pics whenever it emerges.

Again, im looking for any useful feedback that could possibly help.

hey joe hope you do awesome. i'm a novice but sounds like you've done your home work. your expectations don't sound to far out there, but i'd be ready with those CFL to provide extra and side lighting. I'll be watching ya on this one. good luck bud

Honestly my fellow grower idont have any led experience wanna know why? Once I bought a used sun systems 600 watt kooltube (old school mag ballast) I found that it meets or exceeds everything I need for an area just slightly larger than your closet space you'd mentioned. I am biased I know, but id put a 600watt hps kooltube (with the right bulb eye hortilux for mine atm) up against any led. Either way your gonna love some nl my friend. have fun!

I think this UFO could do an ounce pretty easily. I also think it will flower one plant rather well, your girl should love it.

I assume you're growin' in dirt? Idk if it interests you, but search a website called Kelp4Less and check out there veg and bloom packs. Everything's premixed for you, you just add a teaspoon or two of the veg or bloom pack powder into a gallon of water and feed your girl with it. Pretty easy and not bad prices, imo.

Well i went ahead and ordered that UFO light, which should be here Monday. My seedling has poked through the dirt and is looking good so far, just got the CFL's on her right now until my UFO arrives.

I will post a couple pics of my little seedling later on tonight for anyone interested in seeing it.
