Not Too Shaby

Well, I started with one of those jiffy peat pellet trays, and ended up with sixty seedings. I've weeded them down to about forty, over time. Damn that was hard. Then I planted them in miracle grow potting mix for a boost, and I've got them in regular potting mix now. I'm using this food called Monty's Joy Juice, which is a 8-16-8 mix. They're almost two months old, and I'm getting ready to throw the bigger ones, about two and a half feet tall, into flowering, and I was just wondering if anyone had any comments or pointers. This is my first big grow and I think I'm doing alright. Using flouresent Ecolux bulbs from GE, which seem to do good, and I'm using a box fan with a carbonm filter fixed to the back for circulation. I guess my only real question is how to tell the males from the females. I've googled it, but the graphs and such don't seem to really get the message across.
