Hi guys,so i am doing my first grow which i've been asking lots of questions about on this forum,I just noticed something and am wondering why it's happening.I just got a fan 3 days ago,i had been growing the whole time in a closet with no fan up till now,and probly have far weaker plants because of it ...but this is what i noticed before the fan,i was watering once a week, but with a fan the soil is drying out 3 or 4 times faster..is this because the plants are breathing more and being more healthy?

MADPROFESSOR This is because you finally have circulation. Im sure you've noticed that after a rainy day when the sun comes out and the clouds give way the grounds acts as if nothis has happened. It soaks up the water and liek nothing happened. The same is in your closet. Circulation is causing the top layer of soil to be relieved of its water holding capacites by the air. if your plants are young this could cause for everday or possibly every other day watering. Keep and eye on it and plunge a finger knuckle deep into the soil. If it feels cold and damp, your okay. If its dry and cumbles it needs water. Also try to change the direstion of your fan. They dont need to be directly on the plants. Too much can cause wind burn. try to have the air bounce off the leaves as long as the leaf has a slight twinge in it. That means the fan is working! I hope this helps.

Peace,

Not really, that's because blowing wind got drying properties. Remember those dryers in the restrooms that dry up your hands?
