nutes and reservoir

am i meant to be putting nutes in my resvoir every time i top up my tank with water or should it be once a week

I top my rez with plain water, unless it's already been a week from my last rez change. Then I use nutrient enriched water.

Here it is:

Week 1: Change rez, top with plain water.

Week 2: Since I don't change rez, top with nute water.

when the nutes are low jus add nutes ie ur ppm is 1000 and a week later there at 600ppm or 500ppm coz u have been adding water jus add nutes to bring back to the level u had it at

Are you checking the nutrient solution with a pH/nutrient meter?
I usually change the nutrient solution weekly, but it really depends on your setup and how much your plants are "drinking".
Do you have small plants with a large reservoir or do you have a large plant with a small reservoir?
